Hotel ben posizionato a Copacabana in una traversa dell'avenida principale, quindi tranquillo, ma con tutti i servizi, bar, ristoranti, spiaggia a pochi passi.
Stanza ampie e confortevoli, dotati di tutti i confort.
Unica nota negativa i condizionatori ancora vecchio stile, quindi non a split.
In un hotel di questo livello e di questo prezzo, non e' concepibile, anche se a Rio sono ancora molto diffusi.
Colazione nella media Brasiliana.

The hotel was great. It's located just a couple of blocks from Copacabana beach and Ipanema is a very short taxi ride or easy walk away. There are has shops, restaurants and a great tourist information place (Blame it on Rio) within one block.
The amenities were nice with sun loungers by the pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna and gym. The breakfast was always fresh and had some really great food.
The staffs are helpful and spoke English, which was really helpful and sometimes a rarity in Brazil.
I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel has 84 spacious and rooms with natural daylight and has cable TV, telephone, mini bar, front desk and room service available 24hrs. Some of the rooms have view to the Christ. Breakfast buffet is available every morning at the hotel restaurant and include a great variety of fruits, juices, breads, and cakes. Hotel Vermont is very well located in the beach of ipanema, few blocks from the most famous beach in Rio de janeiro and few steps from shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife. It's a nice 3 stars hotel that offers to guests the possibility of a great stay in Rio de janeiro. Note - Please note this hotel does not charge any taxes.

The location is fantastic, right on the beach and across from the night-time souvenir market.
The hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff is helpful and speaks English, including the bell boys.
The shortage of irons was a problem. It's not one per room. I almost could not attend a wedding in a proper outfit. Also, no clock was provided. Plan ahead.

The hotel was great. The staff is very friendly and willing to help out all of the time. We were in Rio for 6 nights. The first two nights were at the JW Marriott in Copacabana, the other 4 at the Promenade Visconti. The Marriott was overpriced, and way out of the way. The Promenade was in an excellent location, we were able to walk to almost everywhere we wanted to go. There are lots of nearby restaurants, cafes, and bars. We loved the hotel.

The Promenade Visconti was in a very good section of Rio in the Ipanema section right behind the Caesar Park hotel. If you are looking for a clean, reasonably priced, friendly hotel you can't go wrong with this one. The rooms are fairly basic and not luxurious but if you aren't planning to spend much time in the room then it will be fine. I was in room 102B which had a single 'king' bed (I think they call it a king but it is a little smaller than a king size bed in the US.) The only downside to this room and maybe all of the rooms on that side of the hotel was that it was next to a restaurant so if I left the balcony door open you could smell the vents to the restaurant. There is no view. The breakfast included coffee, tea, hot milk, two types of fresh juices (oj and a juice of the day) bread for toast, honey, butter, jam, several fruits, regular and lowfat plain yogurt (can be sweetened with the honey), granola, sliced ham, a couple cheeses, scrambled eggs and one or two other things. Ipanema is a VERY safe area. I had no issues and I had lunch with a [...] (someone from Rio) who wears her diamonds in this area but not in other parts of Rio. It is about a R$15 cab ride to R. Dias Ferreira where there are a number of really good (but expensive) restaurants (Sushi Leblon, Zuka & Carlota among others). It would have been fine to walk to that street during the day probably only 20 minutes or so but I was alone, wearing heels and it was dark so I opted for cabs at night. It is about a 5 minute walk to Market Ipanema which was also very good. I had lunch there but not dinner.

This hotel is in Leblon and two blocks from the beach. There are plenty of nice restaurants and shops very close to the hotel. I was especially impressed with all the staff. The front desk is very helpful and is usually staffed by at least one person who is bilingual (English). The cleaning staff did an excellent job in our room each day.

The price of the breakfast buffet (65 R$ per person) is a pretty bad joke.
The beach service is very valuable.
The swimming pool (roof top) is rather small - no swimming possible.

I was participating in a conference a bit away but opted to stay nearer the Ipanema beach and was extremely impressed with this hotel. Clean, professionally staffed, always someone who spoke excellent English at the front desk, helpful bellboys, quiet and comfortable rooms with everything working perfectly -- and all two minutes walk from the beach. Great part of town with restaurants and shopping too.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was exactly two short blocks from the Ipanema Beach (Posto 10). The hotel offered a delicious buffet breakfast daily which filled us up heartedly until dinner. We thought the rooms were smaller than we are accustomed to but it was very neat and modern. There was air conditioning but I would have preferred central air and maybe a few other amenities. Other than that quite enjoyable and front desk were very kind and helpful.

Rio Othon Palace is probably the tallest hotel along Copacabana beach, its 30 floors only equalled by the Windsor toward the opposite Northern end. So if you pay for the premium sea view, then you will get one of the best on beach. I was on floor 23 and couldn't have been much happier with the view. Especially as the balcony windows open fully to allow unrestricted viewing. (Balcony is a generous term - there is a shelf with waist high railing with just enough room to stand on.)
Breakfast was included, and the buffet is a generous mixture of drinks, fruits, breads, cereals, and hot food including scrambled eggs, potatos, tomatos, frankfurters or bacon. Excellent breakfast and open from 6am.
The rooftop pool, and gyms are small and "well used".
Staff were polite but the desk clerks were the only ones with any English, and seemed overworked and a bit stressed.
Beach access and towel service is minimal, mentioning a tunnel - but there is no tunnel under the road to the beach lockers; There is just a basement accessed via a side door with a foot shower, so you don't drag sand through the hotel foyer; And you have to cross a fairly busy road to get to the beach.
The hotels in Rio were mostly all built 20 years ago or more, so the Rio Othon Palace rooms are a little dated but who is judging the decor with a beach view like that?
On the plus side there is a fridge/minibar (where I kept drinks bought from local supermarkets at a much cheaper price), a safe to store valuables, and a large shower.
On the down side, I saw 4 or 5 small ants crawling around in the bathroom, but nothing I was too worried about; Also, the toilet water valve seemed to need manually adjusting every time I flushed - the flow seemed to veer rapidly between the kind of glacial drip that forms stalagtites, and a tsunami of watery thunder that makes you think a Kraken is about to burst forth from the bowl.
The cheapest way to travel larger distances to Flamengo, or Centro, etc. is to get the Metro from Cantagalo which is a few blocks behind the hotel - only 5 or 10 minutes walk. Otherwise the yellow metered taxis are pretty reasonable and reliable.

We have made over 50 trips to Rio, and this hotel more than met our expectations. The room was very clean, spacious with a great ocean view, comfortable king size bed, a fair sized bathroom, and a very good breakfast included. The hotel has a pool on the 30th floor long enough to swim laps. Service was very good. The only weakness is the tasteless food served in the restaurant on the 30th floor.

Lo mejor de este hotel es la ubicación, creo que ese es el motivo por el cual el precio es elevado respecto a las instalaciones.
Es un hotel de lujo decadente, en los '80 habrá sido excelente, pero en esta época está venido a menos.
En mi casopersonal, la habitación en un 2° piso, doble standart, es pequeña, tenía muchas manchas de humedad activa en las paredes y sobretodo en el placard lo que significó que el olor se pegara a las ropas.
En el baño encontré cucarachas, algo inaceptable en un hotel.
El 1° piso estaba siendo remodelado lo que significó ruido a martilleo insoportable, no deberían ofrecer el piso 2° para alojar a pasajeros.
El mobilliario de la habitación es viejo y además las sillas rotas.
El desayuno buffet es mediocre para un hotel 4 estrellas, y además el comerdor queda chico, ya que yo fui en temporada baja y había que esperar mesa, no me imagino que sucedería en temporada alta.
La atención de los empleados es buena y amables en gral. La vista es incomparable!!

Easy access to the beach, the neighborhood, great restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice rooms with balconies and good views. Great breakfast, nice amenities. A good place to stay if you want to escape the throngs of tourists, the crowded beaches, and the pesky peddlers of Copacabana.

The hotel staff was very friendly, I was greeted every time I entered or left the hotel. The location is o.k., not very close to the beach if you desire to be near the beach. My overall experience was a pleasant one, with the staff being exceptional, making my stay very pleasant.

Appropiate option in Carnival times!!

We reserve the hotel late at carnival time, and I thought I should settle, but on the contrary, Promenade was a very good choice, clean and with a very helpful staff. They tirelessly helped us get a personalized tour with one day in advance on a high demand weekend. Despite the distance to the famous beaches (Copacabana or Ipanema) the beach opposite to the hotel meets the requirements, which by the way is not crowded with tourists but locals from one of the finest residential areas of Rio. The only BUT is the key to access the room, it's kind of complicated.

The location of this hotel could not be better. There is an amazing beach right across the street and the hotel provides excellent beach service. The breakfast was good by brazilian standards. The only drawback was the cost which was at least twice as much as the room was worth. This is the case for all Rio hotels, though.

Questo hotel ha di veramente bello la posizione e la vista di alcune camere.
La mia aveva una splendida vista.
Consiglio le deluxe, perché c'e' pochissima differenza di prezzo dalle standard, ma c'e' un notevole divario reale tra le due tipologie.
Stanze ampie, vista magnifica. Prezzo scandaloso per il servizio offerto. Anche la colazione sotto la media brasiliana e sotto media per il costo richiesto.
In definitiva un pessimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

This hotel is very nicely located and reasonable for a "value" hotel. The staff was generally helpful.
However, when I checked in, I was informed that I would be required to pay a 10%, cash-only, service fee for the staff. This may be a reasonable way to pay their staff, but it was an unwelcome surprise. I stayed in three hotels during my trip, and this was the only one with a service fee.

Hotel Arpoador Inn has built a tradition of associating a top location to a friendly atmosphere and very reasonable rates since it opened its doors in 1974. This charming inn has 50 rooms distributed along 6 floors. All rooms have front-desk controlled air-conditioning and are furnished with a two door closet with private safety box, a set of twin beds or a double bed (please specify), color TV with cable channels, and a small refrigerator. Bathrooms are compact and clean. A delicious self-serve breakfast buffet is served until 10:30 at the restaurant on the ground floor, street level to the beach. It can also be served in your room for a small charge (until noon). The hotel has a facade overlooking Rua Francisco Bhering - the coconut tree lined street along Arpoador Beach. This street is open for pedestrians and residents only. Deluxe rooms are on this side of the buildingand have been redecorated on July 2000, and the main attraction is the postcard view to the beaches of Arpoador, Ipanema and Leblon! Open your window at night and go to sleep to the gentle sound of surf breaking! Deluxe rooms are a bigger than standard apartments, and have roomier three-door closets. wonderfully situated right on the beach; small but clean rooms. however, when checking out a request (handwritten on the bill) for an approximately 10% "service tax". when pressed, the front desk said it was a discretionary tip. we did not honor what seemed to be an attempt to extract additional cash.

If you want a hotel right on the arpoador beach (the east end of ipanema beach), have breakfast looking at two brothers, and you are okay to walk 10-15 minutes to the center of ipanema, then this hotel is your best choice. If you want to go out and immediately join the crowd in ipanema, then you would be better off to get a hotel in the ipanema area.

年末年始の予約ということもあり、金額が通常よりも非常に高い。3日以上連泊することを求められた。ひとつのビルに見えて、ふたつの場所にエレベーターがあって、旧館と新館があるのだが、アンラッキーにも、旧館の方の部屋にあてがわれる。旧館の方は、すでにエレベーターから降りた時の廊下の見え方がやばい。暗く淀んでいる。部屋の扉をあけると、ガスのにおいがする。ガス漏れをしているのかと思い、不愉快な気分になる。クレームを言ったが、別の部屋はないというのだ。部屋は広めだが、部屋の窓は、裏窓で、外の風景は存在しない。向かいの別の部屋を覗けないように、窓に固定されたヒサシが取り付けられており、視界をさらにせまくしている。特別に悪い条件の部屋だ。意味もなく、リビングとベッドルームに細かく分断されていて、それぞれにトイレと冷蔵庫が付いているが、まったくその必要は感じない。ソフォが古く、型が崩れ、表面の生地も汚れている。公共の施設は悪くない。朝食は立派で、レストランの対応はすばらしい。部屋の金庫を使うと、一日の使用料を取られるという、がめつい商売をしている。ビーチの前に立地していて、ロケーションは最高だ。新館の清潔な部屋で、窓外に風景が存在すれば、もっと違う感想を書けただろう。

Location awesome.. staff great.. breakfast very good... pool is not big at all, but ocean is...
Only bad comment is that shower did not ever get hot.. warm at best.

The pool and bar areas were very nice. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
The health club could benefit from more cardio equipment.

When we arrived we were told the room wasn't ready but would be in 30 minutes. 1.5 hours later we were given a room. When we arrived in the room it had not been cleaned from the previous tenant. I called the front desk and also told the maid. We finally were moved to a clean room. The hotel was nice but a little over priced.

My stay at Tulip Inn was okay. The location of the hotel is right across from the beach. The free breakfast was okay (its free). I would recommend this hotel

Ok for one night but not for 7 and they did nothig. The free breakfast was fine - be warned the saugage is simly hotdogs cooked in onions and peppers. The staff was friendly enough not very communicative.

It was my first time at Olinda Othon, and it is in a good location - right on Copacabana beach - convenient short walk to restaurants, and short taxi ride to business district. Room is decent, staff is courteous, and breakfast is slightly better than typical.
From a business perspective, if hotels such as this one add two things to their rooms: coffee, and iron (with ironing board). Both are cheap items, but have a significant effect on the quality of stay.

This is my 4th trip to Rio and I have stayed at quite a few hotels. This hotel was great! The location is perfect, the staff is very friendly, and the view of the beach from our room was fantastic. The hotel was clean with beautiful decor. The breakfast was good, but not as good as other hotels I have stayed in (not up to Ipanema standards.) The only thing missing was valet parking. This hotel is very safe and I would highly recommend staying there. I will stay there again the next time I am in Brazil.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sol Ipanema. The room was clean and modern, with a postcard view of Ipanema beach. The staff was friendly and did their best to fulfill all our requests. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The Sol Ipanema was in a perfect location. It was directly across from the beach and within walking distance to many fine restaurants. The staff was very attentive, but we felt a little "used" when trying to arrange transportation to landmarks and the airport. The hotel would charge almost twice as much as a city cab, which were plentiful and easy to flag down. The breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel was doing renovations on the actual dining room and we were in a cramped "meeting room". Overall, the hotel was great and I would recommend it to a friend.

Staffs are not friendly. The hotel's regulation does not allow customers to recieve guest in their room, i found that stupid. I will not recommend people to stay in the hotel. It was my first time and my last time, never again.

Just in front of the nice Copacabana beach.

A nice hotel, well situated on Copacabana, good breakfast, helpful staff - but not nice that internet access is very expensive !
