This hotel was a good fit for our trip purpose. My family lived in Recife 30 years ago and I took my dad back to visit the city and some old friends. The location was very near to where we used to live, very close to the Boa Viagem beach, there was a handful simple restaurant nearby and another good restaurant/bar to eat crabs just a couple of blocks, all this was very convenient considering my dad is 82 years old. The bedroom is small but it didn't bother us as we had an OK sofa-bed, a little table plus 2 chairs and a little kitchen. Staff is very friendly.

Its sad this this the best Recife has to offer

Ive stayed twice here. This a conveniently located hotel close to the airport and in front of the beach. Lots of business trainings, small conferences.
If you stay here ask for a room with a view to the beach. The back part of the hotel has a view to the next building.
The hotel has not been very well maintained and is now starting to show its age. If you come from overseas expect something like an old 3 star hotel. If you come from Brazil, you will probably think this is a good hotel.
Do not book on their webpage they charge too much. Better on orbitz or something.

I KNOW THIS HOTEL FOR MORE THAN 15 YEARS, BUT NOW, THE HOTEL DON'T RENOVATE AND THE ROOM INSTALLATION ARE OLD, HYDRAULIC SYSTEM NOT WORKING PROPERLY.
AS YOU KNOW, AT CHECK-IN WAS A SERIOUS INCIDENT, THEY DO NOT RECOGNISE YOUR RESERVATION, AND I WAS OBLIGE TO GIVE MY CREDIT CARD TO COVER ONE NIGHT, (BUT I DON'Y SIGN ) IN ORDER TO CONTACT YOUR COMPANY, THAT AFTER A FEW MINUTES THE PROBLEM WA SOLVE.
AT CHECK-OUT, THEY SAY THAT ALL WAS CLEAR AND I HAVE NOTHING TO PAY,
TODAY I HAVE A SURPRISE, WHEN I CHECK MY CREDIT MASTERCARD ACCOUNT, THERE WAS A CHARGE FOR £ 115.00 THAT WAS FOR THE FIRST NIGHT. BUT I DON'T SIGN ANYTHING AND IN THE CARD STATEMENT THEY SAID THAT WAS SIGNED ( NOT TRUTH). I QUERY THIS CHARGE, AND I EXPECTING NEWS FROM THE BANK

The staff at the desk were very nice and were identified on their name badge with a flag indicating additional languages. The included breakfast was exceptional.

The hotel is pretty basic, but probably the best, and the best deal, in the Boa Viagem area. The location is perfect, separated from the beach only by the boulevard. Friendly and helpful staff, though the hotel is a bit dated (and the fitness room in need of updated and well-maintained equipment). The type of construction allows door-slamming noises to reverberate. All in all, though, a very good hotel experience that's worth repeating.
