Now, this magnificent four-story colonial style residence in probably the largest classic wooden home still in existence in Belize. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room. I was a little disappointed that I had to go elsewhere for breakfast as the restaurant no longer opens in the morning. Very pleasant stay.

We had a beautiful room done in the bright colors of the time. The bed was nice and firm. The bathroom was modern even though the room was that of an grand old plantation house. The only thing wrong with the room was that the room safe didn't work.

We stayed at the Radisson the night before the flight home. After 6 days in the jungle and 2 on a caye, a nice hotel was fantastic. We arrived about 10 am and got right into our room. Everyone was very nice, the public areas were attractive, and the room with a/c was quite comfortable. (The hallways are not air-conditioned, which I think is a good thing.) We didn't actually use any amenities, but the pool looked very inviting. If I return to Belize, I would consider using this hotel as a base and making day-trips from there.

The advertising said ocean view rooms so someone would assume their is a beach nearby. It was not. The casino has very bad service. My friend and I were playing at least an hour and was never served a drink and this is after approaching three different staff members. I was not happy with the facilities. On the last day, we did not have cold water and was not able to take a shower before our flight. Front desk employees were nice, that is the only thing I can say good about the place.

If i were an avid vacationer I would be very disappointed. Since I am not, I had a blast. The Hotel was dirty and expensive for what it was. Go to the islands!!! visit what you need to see on the mainland and get off. There is much crime and many locals with some sort of agenda to get your money. The food in the hotel was unreasonably expensive as well, compared to food around it. We were also told not to wander from the hotel after dark. Other than that I had a blast. If you are young and adventurous go ahead. Oh, also the hotel staff knows nothing of tourist activities and guides. We had to walk a couple of miles down the street to the raddisson to get any information whatsoever.

I called long distance from Michigan to have a taxi pick us up at the aiport and take us to the hotel....never showed...not a good beginning. The restaurant buffets listed in the hotel directory were never when they said or they just didn't have them.
One evening I order curry shrimp and my husband ordered Ceasar salad for dinner. The waiter returned and told us they had not lettuce and no curry. Also the first five items on the appetizer menu they did not have. We ate out alot and that involved taxi rides into Belize City. This hotel needs some serious managment improvements! The tour lady was great

The staff members were very friendly, and the hotel, itself, was quite nice. The problem? Location, location, location. It's impossible to walk ANYWHERE...except about 10 minutes to a supermarket and a bank. Taxis to get into Belize City, where you have to go to get to anything or anyplace, are very expensive. The inexpensive (50 cents US) bus, circa 1948, into the city is unpredictable. As far as I could tell, I was the only traveler not in a group. The groups, of course, had their vans and guides.
