Good time (not great) only because of the bad weather. Rained everyday. Hotel was good, and in a great location. Just walk to Atlantis. Hotel pool good with swim-up bar. Rooms well maintained with newer decor. The staff were upgrading the carpeting, lamps, and some of the front doors of the guest rooms. I had a problem with the hot/cold water in the shower. Shower water started out hot and in an instant turned COLD. Try and get shampoo out of your hair in COLD water. I called the front desk, and they sent a plumber up to the room, who did fix the problem. Check out very easy and speedy. The hotel staff were great. They were curtious and always wanted to help you with what ever you needed. Chrystal at the bar was great. Have her make you a Long Island Ice Tea or fz. mudslide.

Paradise but at a price!

  • Eriezbest
  • Apr 8, 2012
This resort is gorgeous and they have really thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The staff are friendly and very polite. This resort caters to families with children so if you are looking for a romantic getaway for two this is not your choice, although they do have plenty of activities for adults. The Cove seemed to be more adult oriented but is also the most expensive. The resort is huge and very busy. Be prepared for long food lines, long water ride lines, etc. The pool chairs are hard to come by and for a decent spot you have to be up at 7 AM. Restaurant reservations book fast and you might not be able to get your choices. They charge 15% gratuity on everything you buy, even a bottle of water. Be ready to spend some serious cash as the prices are pretty high.

Very memorable but too many non-Atlantis people

  • NiceTimes
  • Apr 7, 2012
The hotel and facilities are really something. They did a great job on the design and the property is big enough we never felt like we needed to leave during our 7 day stay. Biggest downside is that they let people not staying at the resourt use the water park. This includes the people from the cruise ships. They get there early and take all the chairs, the tubes for the rides, and other facilities.

  • May 17, 2012
We arrived around 7:00pm and were met by the office manager Alfred. He was wonderful. We got checked in promptly, went to our room and ordered some food, as the restaurant and market were closed. All we can say is our stay was one of the best we have had in all our years of travel abroad. Every member of the staff was warm, friendly and eager to help. Alfred, Jennette, Simon and the cleaning staff were especially wonderful. We will surely be back and bring the family next year.

Great for getting away without the kids!

  • Ed451
  • May 7, 2012
Great experience overall. The location is walking distance to the waterpark, ocean, spa, starbucks, Mesa Grill, and a great breakfast buffet at Mosaic. It is also a quick shuttle ride away from the casino, nightlife, and indoor/outdoor shopping. All this, yet it is far enough away from "ground zero" to feel semi-secluded. Keep the staff honest about minor nusances such as occassionally scratchy sheets (which they quickly changed), and do NOT order room service as you will pay $$$ for mediocre fare. The staff could not be friendlier of more helpful. We will come back within the next 18 months!

This is the second time we've stayed at the Cove-- as usual, it was a great experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the location is beautiful, and the room is lovely. It might be a bit pricey (somehow we racked up a healthy bar and food bill-- and the phone charges are insane) and the music by the Cove pool a little loud, but overall, it is a beautiful vacation spot.

20-Year Second Honeymoon

  • 20 Years of Fun
  • May 21, 2012
Our original honeymoon was to the Bahamas, before Atlantis was 'born' so we decided to go back to the islands for our 20-year anniversary. Having the combination of the beach, fabulous pools and the Casino so close was perfect! We stayed in the Coral Towers, an older facility but offering a very centralized location to everything. The rooms were clean and we had a first floor terrace view giving us a patio with chairs/table to sit at and admire beautiful tropical foliage with a small lagoon of sharks a few feet away - very cool. It rained several times while we were there so we used this time to take in the fantastic indoor fish tanks, listen to the local musicians in each gathering area and then sit out on the covered patio with some wine and think back over the last 20 years. While Coral Towers isn't the newest or fanciest, it offered clean rooms, albeit ours was a bit smoky smelling, a friendly staff everywhere we went, a library with free daily internet and a centralized location just 2 or 3 minutes of indoor walking from the marina, the pools, shopping, the Casino and multiple restaurants. Yes, the food is expensive and a 15% gratuity is added to everything but it's a resort and something we just planned for and have seen at other resorts as well. The Breakfast Buffet ($28) was limited in comparison to those we enjoy in Las Vegas so unless you need a lot of food, explore your options. We did make a quick 5-minute walk to the Marina/Harbor Village to pick up some cheaper sodas, wine, snacks and Dunkin Donuts at the little grocery store but bring your own wine bottle opener unless you want to spend $6 on one there. Overall a great experience and would definitely go back with the kids, plus the lines for the water rides were non-existent in the light rain - a plus for us over 40-somethings!

Great Family Vacation Destination!

Overall our experience was fantastic, with 2 teenagers Atlantis offers more than enough to keep our entire family happy! Coral Towers was a good location for us as we enjoy the marina at night. Gone all day so who cares about room size but I must say the staff at the Coral was great friendly and accomadating, we asked for ground level and got it during busy April! Beds turned down at night, extra towels, great service! We highly recommend Coral Towers great value compared to others in Atlantis!

Great Family Getaway

  • sven122
  • Dec 4, 2009
We enjoyed the waterslides, lazy river, the pools and casino. The lines were short and easy access to the waterslides. The pools were plentiful and resort very attractive. Beautiful Holiday decorations at time of our visit in Dec. We were told the restaurants and food would be expensive. Even though we were prepared for it we were still surprised at how expensive it was. An example: At an outdoor snack bar by the pool 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and 2 sodas were $26.00. There are options to interact with sealions or dolphins. We chose the sealions and it was a great experience. However, our reservation booking included the cost for 2 people to interact with sealions. There were 3 in our party so we paid for the third individual with was $89. If we had paid for all 3 instead of 1, I think it would be too much money for that experience. Overall, a great experience for my family.

A fun place for families

Harborside resort at Atlantis provides villas that make you feel at home. Spacious and you can cook for meals which will save you a ton of money! I would have preferred to stay at one of the towers(Royal Tower, Coral Tower or Beach Tower) which are closer to the beach. You can walk to the beach from those towers. You can walk from the Harborside to any location at Atlantis as well, however, because of the heat you will want to take the free shuttle in stead. The shuttles run every 10 min and very convenient. If the vacation is a short one you may want to stay in one of the Towers.

Wonderful 3 day weekend

  • null
  • Oct 5, 2011
We just returned on Oct. 3rd and had a great relaxing weekend. It was my wife and I only. The resort was only about 1/2 occupied and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. We stayed in a garden room view. The room was great except the shower was a standard bathtub with curtain and the view was nothing great, but who cares. I can walk over and sit on the chairs facing the ocean or lay in a hammock by the ocean and save a few $100 each night. The staff was wonderful. Food is expensive (but exceptional) my wife and I split breakfast each morning and split a couple of lunches as well. They leave you a fruit basket each day in the room and we brought some other snacks with us. Complimentary transportation is provided to Atlantis. Pick up the complementary coffee in the main building each morning and save the $8 the restaurant cahrges for coffee.
