We swam with the dolphins, snorkeled, went to port lacaya to shop and eat. The fish Fry on Wednesday was fun. Drove to the port where the cruise ships come in, the resturante was expensive but good. You are never more than 10 - 15 minutes away from anything on the island at Dundee Bay Villa.The staff was warm and helpful. We watched the sunrise and set from the back patio. Fed the fish on the back patio everyday.

These are nice units that are very nice and well maintained. The staff is very friendly. There is a nice beach across the street. It is also at a end so there is not a lot of traffic.

Great place to stay for the money

We had a 3 week stay and could not have enjoyed it more. We found most negative info in previous reviews to be false.Never had any problems with bath towels, beach towels, bugs, ac,time share solicitations, dripping water, or thin walls with other rooms.The room was clean and comfortable, although not huge and not new. The mini kitchen with small refrig, microwave, toaster and coffee pot was great. We bought groceries and made our bfast and lunch to save some $. The staff was very helpful and very friendly.The beach and pool accross the street were both wonderful.The only cons were no elevator, and we were on the 3rd floor, so if you can't climb stairs you may want a 1st floor room, but it was nice not having anyone above us( and we liked being on the marina side of the hotel). And the shower was missing the plastic cover for the hot/cold , so it was just a metal lever, which worked great. If you have to have a fancy, new room and an elevator,the Flamingo Bay may not be for you. But if you want a comfortable room with great staff, at a price 25-50% less than other hotels, then I recommend Flamingo Bay.

Great helpful staff, nice room, beautiful beach and pool. Water ferry to port Lucaya $5.00 round trip. Go to the Smiths point native fish fry on WED and SAT. We will go back very soon.

Great Value for a family vacation on budget

This hotel is ideal for the budget concious travelers who do not want to spend much for additional services. They have pretty much all you need for a short vacation and if you need to do more activities they are available for a reasonable price and short drive. Food was OK in the buffet, but the Italian restaurent was great for no additional cost. Kids enjoyed free wind surfing lessons & trapeze. Alcohol seem to be a bit watered down, but you cannot expect high quality booze for free.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. I was there for a family funeral, so I didn't spend much time at the hotel, but the time I spent there was relaxing. Cable TV was available, but also local Island channels. There was a door man at all times (even late night). Very cool room (which is important in the summer). This was an enjoyable stay.

We stayed in the hotel for one night in december. It's a quiet place with big rooms en beds, tv, and bath. The kitchen is little. Next to the harbor /marina.

Freeport Condo at a good price

Beach and pool nice. College Spring break group. We had fun. Good rooms, though our socks were black from the floor not being mopped but the room was clean besides that. Waited a long time to get extra towels. Staff at desk was very helpful with recommending restaurants, free shuttle was good. Beach was clean. We had read comments about glass etc but it was fine. We rode the discovery cruise over and back. It was good value for the price.

Very nice resort, beautiful beach. We couldn't use the pool as it wasn't heated and the water was very cold. No children would even go in it. They need tables and umbrellas around the pool and some piped in music would have been great. The mattresses and pillows need to be replaced, very lumpy. We enjoyed both restaurants. We asked for the TV remote but never received one. Also, they charge a $30 daily surcharge tax besides the room cost and taxes which we didn't know about.

Great service, friendly people, room clean, view of the harbor.I stayed 2 nites, went diving for 7 days then returned to hotel for 1 additionalnite.They did not have my reservation for the last nite. They said they didn't receive it from [...]. However they were using a fax based system. Hardly that reliable.They straightened out the problem and all was excellent from then on.Great hotel and property.

It is a great resort. Can't think of a bad thing to say about it. Only problem is transporation. It costs a lot to go to Port Lucaya in taxi. Resort has a van that goes 5 days a week once a day. No night time transport. Taxi guys are great and very helpful.
