Great and very close to town and supermarkets 2 mins away.Lovely helpful staff.Very comfy beds two doubles and very quiet .Nice quiet fridge in room.Air con needed a flap replacing and the ceiling needed a clean as there had obviously been a leak above.Two lovely pools and pool bar with two restaurants.Very happy with stay. Very good valueThankyou

Very unorganised front desk,& had to keep moving rooms because of stuffups,we ended up in an apartment (dont go smaller) the room was nice ,the shower screen needed contant repairs ,& room not serviced which I found unusual

The room cleanliness was poor but the location, the view and the facilties were great, except when the chair i was sitting on broke and when i asked for a replacement none came
Oh take your own toilet paper too as they dont supply extra tickets unless you hassle them, service was nice when you got it but it wasnt very available and the cafe staff too seemed to be hard to find

Valet Car Parking / Car Parking
The Hotel offers a valet car parking service for all guests. It is subject to availability at time of arrival, guest car being registered and charges apply.
Credit Card Imprint & Cash Deposit:
Upon check-in, every guest is required to provide a credit card pre-authorisation amounting to $300 for any incidental charges that may be incurred during the stay. The money is placed on hold but not withdrawn from the account. On check out the pre-authorisation will be released if there are any charges that need to be settled on departure. This transaction will release the hold on the money. If no transaction is processed on departure the hold will last for a period of up to 7 days before automatically being released by the bank. If the guest does not want to use a credit card a cash deposit will be required of a minimum $300.
Credit Card Surcharge:
A surcharge of 1.5% is applicable for payments made via credit card. This surcharge will be calculated and added to the entire charge at time of processing.
Non Smoking Policy
The Darwin Central Hotel is a 100% non smoking property with no smoking allowed throughout the whole complex. Guests are required to initial on the guest registration card that they are aware of our non smoking policy. Any guest found in breach of the Hotel's non smoking policy may be charged additional cleaning fees ($300 minimum charge) and loss of revenue compensation. Guests who fail to comply with the Hotel's non smoking policy may be requested to vacate their hotel room and the premises and forfeit any deposits made with the Hotel.

I stayed here two nights and was treated very well by all the staff. On check in I was upgraded to a premium suite which was a delightful surprise. I would easily stay there again and would definitely recommend it. It is expensive, but very easy walking distance from the main hub.

The location is fine. The room was clean. The set-up was a bit odd with the bathroom in the bedroom and very little room for sitting - a narrow couch flanked by two bed. A very strong cleaning agent was used - stinging my eyes a bit. Friendly staff.

Much prefer to stay here. I like the iPhone/iPod docking station in the room. This is one of the better hotels for Darwin, it is away from the noisy back packers, and is recently renovated.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times now and will continue to do so. The hotel staff are always friendly and helpful and the facilities are more than adequate. The seafood buffet for dinner is great value. The pool overlooks the beach and you can enjoy a cocktail sitting in the pool watching the sunset ... just magical. The hotel provides a bus service to the town but it is easier to have your own transport, the shops are not close by. This hotel is ideal for a relaxing time-out holiday.

All rooms have a queen size bed, single bed, ensuite bathroom, colour TV, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, 24 hr air-conditioning, desk.
Hotel facilities include a guest pool & BBQ, off-street parking and a lift to all levels. Rooms are designated non-smoking. There are vending machines for that late night or early morning snack or beverage, conveniently located as is the public phone.

The Location was handy to all the amendities.
And the Staff were vere helpful and friendly.
On Average the Rooms are Average. although the website has photos of the Accommmodation when booking these rmmms the photos have obviously been photoshoped as the room have bee disigned for a Maximum of 3 people although when you are in the Actual room you very soon it will be a very tight squeeze.
The Pool in actual size is quite Small and not as large as they make it out to be on all there Photos as Well.
In addition I would recommend that the Value Inn hotel management remove all the Motion sensors in the Bedroom and Bathroom as these are connected to the clock and time the amount of time that you spend in the room.

The rooms were very clean and the staff were excellent. The facilities in the room provided were excellent - in room safe, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and toiletries. The breakfast was also very good with a large selection of food and drinks. Overall an enjoyable stay.

concern re security in that door to stairs was left open and very easy to access hotel without being seen by reception

The hotel was excellent but the only problem is the front access - stairs only and no ramp for bringing up heavy baggage. However the staff were very helpful and lugged our heavy bags for us.

We were very impressed with the Holiday Inn Esplanade Darwin. We couldn't have had a better reception. The room was beautifully services each morning. A jug of complementry milk was provided as well a a news paper. We felt quite at home. I would go so far as to say if wasn't very good.......it was excellent. We would be more than happy to stay with them again. In fact we didn't want to leave.

The staff were very helpful we didn't arrive until late as we were on an international flight, we called them from the airport after we cleared customs and they were there within 5 minutes, great location and Airconditioning lovely and cool.

Conveniently located airport hotel. Room was relatively small, but had all necessities for a short stay and was very clean and well maintained.
Same shuttle service goes to both the Airport Inn and Airport Resort (pick up the phone (indicated as Airport Resort) at the bagage carrousels to request the shuttle service).

Great place to stay if you need to catch an early flight the next day. Courtesy bus is excellent. Staff are friendly. The only down side is the noise from opening doors and late arriving guests - choose to stay in the bungalows or higher priced suites if you want an uninterupted sleep. Or choose their sister hotel the Airport Inn across the road.

The hotel is new and spacious. Its services are fresh and welcoming. Their responses to our phone calls were respectful and informative. Although near an international airport it is still very quiet and clean air is all around. The hotel is situated on a main road but situated back enough so that the traffic noise is minimal to those rooms at the front of the hotel where I had booked. Breakfast was neat, sufficient and professionally prepared. Well done, Best Western Darwin.
