The ApartHotel is a apartment building converted to Hotel. Is relatively far away from the Bus Terminal or Downtown but very close to Mendoza's fabulous Parque san Martin. The rooms are very large and have a full kitchen a dining table and chairs. Beds were a bit hard but OK. Has A/.C and heating provided by a powerful gas stove. The pool is not heated. Wireless Internet is free. Breakfast is simple, cafe con leche, medialunas, butter and dulce de leche but OK. They are stingy on the OJ. reception desk staff is friendly.

It is a very good hotel - but for weekends only

I was there for a Sat night and Sun night. On Sunday morning, it seemed perfect - the flowers outside your window a large suite, etc. On Monday morning the story is different. There is an elementary school next door and their playground is right next to the hotel. Go figure!

We stayed at this hotel 4yrs ago and loved it. However this time it was totally different, rundown, staff was unfriendly did not have any suggestions for restaurants, for being an NH franchise was really disappointed and the computers they have in lobby for guests to use are extremely outdated and slow. Recommend using a guide when you are in Mendoza because there are some beautiful places you can stay.

Great hotel in a great city

The staff at The Modern Hotel was fantastic. They helped us organize wine tours, recommended great restaurants and helped us translate when we were stuck with our limited Spanish. Their suggestions were what we needed to explore the city comfortably. The lounge atmosphere was fun and we enjoyed the pool and restaurant too. Only 10 minutes from the airport and a few blocks from the main plazas.

Great Hotel, has a pool, very comfy with 3 bed per room, nice and new furniture, had a good safe in room, and has all the things to expect from a "Modern" living experience. Breakfast was great as was the service, and Hotel bar was good enough.
Only bad side was the near by area doesn't have much and I don't recommend walking at night alone, also most things required taxi due to distance.

The hotel is located in a quiet part of town just a 10-minute walk from the city center. It's a no-frills kind of place, but clean, well-run, and inexpensive: the perfect kind of 3-star experience. The employees speak enough English to help out, and did whatever was required to make the stay pleasant. The breakfast is nice, though there is no proper restaurant. Wireless internet is free.

The location and staff were great with a nice bonuses of three computers connected to the Internet, free Wifi, good breakfast included and spa floor (where my husband and I had ordered massages which happened on their covered deck). You could walk to Plaza Independencia, a strip to the north with bars and restaurants and the main strip to the south for shoppinh and the like. The only complaint was the noise. We were on the street side of the second (third in the US) floor and had to use ear plugs some of the time.

This hotel is in an excellent location with Cabinas (cabinets) around one corner for making cheap int'l calls home and good restaurants and a chocolate shop and ice cream shop around the other corner. The hotel was half good and half bad. The room was very clean but was a filmy smoking room. I had requested a non-smoking room but I soon realized that there probably is no such thing at this hotel however I didn't ask for a different room. It was noisy over the weekend but quiet the following two nights. Two of the front desk clerks were annoyed by questions while two others were very helpful and pleasant. The cleaning staff was very helpful and kind but the room's interior had a visible smokey film. I would probably stay here again simply for the location.

Confortable, secure and very affordable, great location, it is basically in the middle of the most popular avenues, you can get great tours in the front desk, the staff is very nice, the hotel is clean and modern, you will have a nice stay with your wife or you can go alone, just do not bring the kids with you because they will not have anything to do there. The restaurant is fine, a 5 in a 1-10 scale. You will have internet acces in your room and also in the restaurant.

Probably the best hotel for this city...downtown.....I don't really like rooms without digital or analog control of the room temp this said it was clean comfortable roomy very nice bathroom and a super staff that handled problems that I had made on my own...if your travels take you to Mendoza this is a great choice and like I said the staff especially Ruben and Andres are customer oriented bravo to them and to those that empowered them

Great lobby crummy rooms

The rooms are small and grubby. You can do much better for not much more money. We had to stay the first night (our luggage was delayed and was being delivered to the hotel), but we checked out the first thing the next morning to move elsewhere. My wife swore she would not shower in the bathroom, she was so disgusted. It is also removed from the central part of Mendoza, which is where you want to be. Staff were very friendly, though.

The Hotel Internacional is very conveniently located on one of the main streets in Mendoza, very close to the main tourist attractions. The building is old and the hotel does not provide many amenities, but the staff are nice. The breakfast buffet table was very good. This hotel is certainly a viable option for a budget traveler who does not plan to spend a lot of time inside.

The hotel is in a good location....that is really the only positive note ....There are many other hotel options to chose from..This was our third trip to Mendoza and this was by far the worst hotel we have seen in Mendoza and possibly in all our travels...stay away!!!!!!

This was the worst booking and hotel experience I ever had...When we arrived at the hotel and were shown our room we were appalled....The description states that the rooms are medium size..they r anything but....we only had two pieces of luggage and had to climb over them to get to the other side of the bed...the room was barley big enough to fit the bed...which was only a very small queen size ..which is my next subject..they also say the bed is big enough for two ppl ..not a chance...maybe for two teenagers but not adults....my feet hung off the edge..the bathroom was so tiny ..only one person at a time could fit..it also had a mildewy smell..most likely for the shower curtain....when i inspected the shower/tub i noticed the shower head and faucets were rusty and corroded...furthermore..there was no chair or desk in the room..no where to put my laptop.. they say the rooms are comfortably furnished...not true...when i moved the endtable away from the wall to check for an outlet I noticed lots of dusts and very old and corroded outlets.....the wires on the bedlamps looked old and corroded too....they also advertise indoor pool and sauna.....these amenity's come at an extra charge......there are other things I disliked ..too numerous to mention.....all in all I would say this hotel is maybe a one star not three....My wife and I after about 15 minutes inspectng the room...decided that we could not stay there ..so we went downstairs and told the manager we had to leave because of all the details I just listed....She acted very non-chalant...like she was used to these complaints..and informed us that we would be charged for 1 or 2 nights [...]..... I left the hotel went down the street and booked a room at the Diplomatic.. where I had a wonderful stay..I am still disputing any charges because I could not and did not stay in the Provincial hotel....

This was a very nice hotel in a great location. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was complete and plenty of food always available. I would recommend this hotel highly.

Great hotel, great value

The hotel was beautiful - clean, comfortable and spacious rooms at a great price. The breakfast buffet was the best on our trip. The hotel was in walking distance from Plaza Independencia and only a few blocks from a street filled with cute, little bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in downtown Mendoza.

The location is great; about 10 minutes walk to lots of restaurants and shops. It is about 20 minute drive to the wineries. The hotel staff spoke really good English. It was much nicer than we imagined in the rooms; we had a suite with a living room and huge bathroom.Also be aware that even though I thought I was being charged on [...] when I booked, there is some kind of rule in Argentina that doesn't allow this, so I don't think [...] ever charged me and I was charged when I left the hotel.Overall an excellent buy, way better than spending three times the cost and staying at Hyatt.

The Fitzgerald is a clean, comfortable hotel with a pleasant staff. The rooms have been remodeled with tall, soft mattress beds and oversized king pillows x 4. The large flat panal screen TV and electronic safe are a nice feature. Check out is convienent with multiple options verses standing in a long line.
