I liked the hotel as it is very quiet and central. The service and the staff are very helpful, they even try out speaking english even though I have difficulty with my spanish. Bar staff and desk staff are very nice and attentive. I would definately recommend or come again myself as I have been in the last few years.

Nice, clean hotel in a good area of Buenos Aires for shopping or site seeing. Florida Street, one of the main shopping areas of the city is only a block up the road and an easy walk.
The staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful.

Small fairly modern hotel located in downtown not far from the bigger hotels. Great location to all the tourist locations and great shopping close by. Gets lonely after 8pm, but the guide books say be careful anywhere in Buenos Aires after dark. Rooms are modern but compact;breakfast included in price.

This was a wonderful place to stay after an overnight air flight. All was well.
I love their care of my luggage even after I checked out . It stayed at the hotel another 7 hours. Safely.
When I returned from that 7 hours away, I really appreciated the nice , clean bathroom off the lobby to ¨freshen up ¨in before taking the luggage to the next round of the trip. When you no longer have access to a room, that bathroom off the lobby is a great blessing!
They readily gave out tourist info when asked too.
The room I had even had a little outdoor patio.
Ample space....they had a tub with the shower..
The only downside is that I could not find heat controls in the room and I was just a bit cool at night...I was tired, though, and not in the mood to try to tell the staff about it...next time I will....maybe the controls were somewhere on the air conditioner...
You can´t check in until 2 and, unlike the USA, there did not seem to be any ¨wiggle room¨ to get in a bit early....
The restaurant and the lobby are good waiting spots so I was fine. I was just anxious to crash in my room and missed the USA´ s hotels that often let us check in early.
I am going again there and just might make it my annual Buenos Aires hotel so I can get to know them and them me....always benefits to that...
Until I got there I did not know that there was a lot of restaurants and shops within walking distance...it is in the city center and not far from the popular Calle Florida....

Location is awesome. Close to everything. Right at heart of shopping area and trouist section. This was my third trip to Buenos Aires and this hotel was so far best of the three. Other Hotels were also four star but standard were much lower than US hotels. I would definitely use this hotel again on my next trip.

A senior, traveling alone, I stayed here three times during my 7 week stay in South America. Clean, comfortable, conveniently located. Exceptionally friendly, competent and helpful staff. Tasty and adequate breakfast.Close to metro, Teatro Colon, government offices, shopping & restaurants. Fairly priced. If one doesn't require luxury, this is one I'd recommend to anyone planning to visit Buenos Aires for business or pleasure.

Great personal touch

I looked for a nice, inexpensive place to stay for my last few days in Buenos Aires. This place fit the bill nicely. You can choose between rooms with a private bathroom or rooms that use a shared bathroom. Hint, the second option is cheaper. My room had a high ceiling and lots of open space. The only problem I had with it was the lighting was fairly low, considering the big space, and if I wanted any daylight (there were no windows) I had to open the tippy-tops of the doors, which also let noise from the patio in. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They will point out good places to go, see, eat, and more. It's a personal touch.

I booked this hotel for a question of aesthetics. Its colonial look with high ceilings and the large corridor is something that attracted me from the beginning. I made some beautiful photographs there but it's not your regular hotel, it's very private, you are not allowed to bring any guest whatsoever. This caused a bit of a problem because I wanted to photograph 2 girls in a room and the second girl was not allowed into the building. So, if they would be a bit more flexible about that... then it would be a perfect stay.

This hotel, overall, is pretty nice, and in a great location for walking the city or getting on mass transit. The staff were great, and most speak very good english. The food in the restaurant and for room service is very good. My only complaints are that the fitness room is very limited and the equipment is poorly maintained; and I wish the pool deck would have been open even though the pool does not open until December (every day for my stay was in the mid 80's F).

Okay for the price

This location is great for dining, shopping, and within walking distance to several tourist destinations. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar however the breakfast buffet was very good. The room we were given had a terrible problem with the air conditioning which has no individual controls. The cold air was blowing so hard the curtains were flapping which made the room unlivable. We had to complain twice before anything was done. Our room faced the street which is busy night and day so sleeping at night became a problem. If we were to stay at the Rochester Concept again I would check out the room for air conditioning problems as well as make sure the room did not face the busy street of Maipu. We would recommend this hotel with qualification.

Reception was friendly at check-in. Free WiFi in the lobby and breakfast are positives. Room was trendy but smallish and air-condition was centrally regulated, which really sucked. Would come again if bargain offering but for USD 100 there are better places in Recoletta and Palermo I would favor.

When you put together airlines & hotels "YOU" SHOULD make sure to specify what's the check-in & check-out time so that your clients can choose a flight accordingly. I arrived at 11:00AM to my hotel and have to wait til 2:30PM to get a room. The stay was pretty pleasant, except by the cost of use of internet, and other items. At the check-out time I was practicaly kicked out at 12:00 noon "sharp" even when my flight was at 8pm, with the reason that they were busy, or was it because all was paid in advance and they had nothing to loose by kicking me out?. I found that that's a big limitation and risk your clients have by buying with you; since everything is paid for, I have found, hotels and car rentals don't give much of a s...t as when the reservation is still pending to be paid and the guess have the possibility of moving to a nicer, kinder and more considerate hotel..!. Think of that.

This place is nothing fancy, but then you don't have to pay for fancy either. I'd say it's a great value and I'd stay here again.

Nice hotel, rooms and beds are small compared to what we are normally used to in the states. good location and you can walk to a lot of interesting places. It is about a 15 peso taxi ride to Recolata and overall we enjoyed the stay.

Note: This is a review of Hotel Reconquista GARDEN, which is where I was sent from the Hotel Reconquista Luxor a few blocks away when they didn't have my reservation properly taken care of.
The hotel has some classy aspects, with spiffy modern-looking elevators and a very nice bathroom that has some very nice fixtures. This is marred, however, by above average noise levels, as I heard all of my neighbors and everyone in the hallway. Someone going into their room for any one of several rooms near mine sounds like they're coming into my room. In addition, there was construction work that could be heard all morning.
Another complaint is lack of Internet access in the rooms. There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, only in the lobby. They gave me a network cable to hook to my laptop. OK, fine, but I can't get a network connection when I plug it in. The faceplate to the "network" jack broke and I was then able to see that there were only 4 wires connected to the Cat 5 jack. In other words, it was for a telephone, not a computer network. Even the cheesiest hotel I've stayed in in Argentina has had Wi-Fi in the rooms, so I see this as a big deficiency.
The room's view was only of an urban parking lot, certainly unimpressive. The beds were average for Argentine hotels, and the HVAC above average (and included a remote control.) The location is useful for people walking around Florida (tourist shopping areas) and for easy access to Subte, which is only a block away.

The Hotel's location is incredible. You are in the center of town! For the price- it was well worth the stay. The breakfast buffett was pretty good. They do need to purchase new bedspreads- they were a little outdated and showed wear.

Very clean hotel in all areas. The staff was friendly, helpful and kompetendes. Kullinarisches awarded supply and quality. The central location short distances to Subway and bus station. Who does not want to hike can after herzenslust relax in the beautifully preserved wellness area with indoor swimming pool. We have enjoyed the stay at the hotel and can recommend it without hesitation.

This hotel is very convenient: unpretentious, small (6 rooms per floor), somewhat old (wall to wall carpet) but clean and comfortable, quite large room, kitchenette, good bathroom. The central location is perfect: near Teatro Colon and near public transportation (metro and buses going in various directions). The breakfast is good. There are 3 computers in the lobby with free internet access. The staff is very helpful.

The hotel is well located, a foot step from Bolívia subway station and a couple of meters from Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada. It is clean and a Good value. Breakfast goes through 11 AM, which is a good surprise. WiFi is free and available all over the hotel

The hotel is located a block away from the Casa Rosada and the Cathedral, where all the subway lines converge. This is also where most of the demonstrations end up, so that I witnessed some mass action every day I was in Argentina. I was originally given a room that had a bed and not much more; Id had to ask for a change. The lobby is minimalist in decor. The breakfast is a good variety of local, American and continental choices. On my second night, I arrived late only to find out that not a single towel had been left by housekeeping for the night.

from EZE you may take "Manuel Tienda Leon" shuttle @55 peso to Sheraton hotel and then walk to this Catalina Suites nearby, much cheaper than taxi @160 peso. But no one knew that when I was at the airport. I was directed to the Bus#8, which took me to a spot dozens of blocks away after 2 hours zigzag way throughout the city. worse than that, when i walked to the hotel via the street where the hotel is located, i was attacked by a couple of aggressive thieves who approached me pretending to clean the dirt they threw upon me from behind, i knew this old trick so that just tried to walk away from them but still too late. my money was all gone after i struggled out of them and found it later.

the street where the hotel is located is a bit desolated and dirty. I don't recommend to walk over there.
the hotel staff is nice and helpful. they helped me exchange some bucks after i discovered the situation otherwise i didn't know how to deal with it in the later afternoon at that time.

Great location for a decent price

Pretty good overall experience. The hotel is old and requires renovation - it felt like I was staying in the a 1960s hotel. But rooms were clean, internet was fast, and location was excellent.
