Old and Loud
Very "pretty" place in the heart of Carmel with lots of flowers. It's older with no insulation for noises next store or outside. The room had a 2 chairs around a circular table, but was missing comfortable chairs. We could only do so much shopping and ended up leaving early to stay in Monterey, where there signs of life after 6pm!

Wonderful Ambiance
The hotel is very quaint and has beautiful flowers all around. Our room was very comfortable, the bed was awesome. The sherry and the fireplace were very welcoming in the lobby. The manager was very helpful and talkative and recommended a great place for dinner.

Not bad, just loud!
Got a good price and the location is perfect. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Only real complaint is that the walls are way too thin. It was like our neighbors were in the room with us. We could hear them clearly and they weren't particularly loud. If you can deal with that, it's a decent place to stay.

Great spot near downtown
We had a great stay at the Normandy. Be aware - the walls are very thin! Breakfast was simple and good, the beds were clean and firm enough to sleep on. But, we could hear our upstairs neighbor tromping around above, we could hear an argument next door below and you can hear the staff cleaning in the morning

Fancy room with centre location
I really love this cute fancy hotel. It is located at very center of this small lovely town and close to everything. The room is not big but clean and wifi is accessable. I love the decoration within and outside the hotel and staffs are very friendly and helpful.

One Night at the Normandy Inn
The Normandy Inn is a good value for the money. The room was clean and had a nice outside view. The hotel is also close to shopping and dining so there's no need to use your car if you are spending the day on Ocean Ave. Very nice staff. Basic continental (cold) breakfast was included in the room. The hotel has private parking at no cost, but spots are compact. The only significant drawbacks to the hotel room was the hot water was intermittent and the walls were a little thin so we heard the TV next door.
