Secluded resort on Cruz Bay walking distance to St. John restaurants
The Gallows Point Resort recently completed a renovation that highlights the property’s spectacular setting. The resort, set on five acres of a lushly landscape peninsula, is an adventure wonderland. Enjoy exceptional snorkeling just steps away from the resort patio. While sipping a signature tropical at the manager’s reception, guests take in panoramic views of many other Virgin Islands from this beachfront resort.Highlights
- Private coral beach for snorkeling
- Fully-equipped kitchens
- Complimentary Wi-Fi in public areas
- Oceanfront pool and Jacuzzi
Rooms
The suites at the Gallows Point Resort are individually decorated with a tropical flair, and many feature expansive views of other Virgin Islands. In each fully-furnished kitchen, guests stay in for as many, or as few, meals as they wish. The rooms have an airy wide-open feel, thanks to tall ceilings and ample windows. Each suite has a king bed and queen sofa sleeper. Standard amenities, including daily maid service, are included.Features
Thanks to its location on a peninsula, the Gallows Point Resort feels like it is at end of the world, truly a private getaway. Yet, it is really just a short walk to more than a dozen of Cruz Bay’s best restaurants. Guests also opt to stay on the property for dinner at Zozo’s, one of St. John’s most popular fine dining spots. Just steps from the resort is some of the best snorkeling on the island, and Gallows Point Resort also is close to some of the islands most beloved beaches.Transportation

Relaxing vacation
Beautiful condos, great staff very eager to please and make your stay enjoyable. Close to town to walk to restaurants, shops and ferry. Staff picks you up at ferry and takes you back when time to leave. Only problem was noise from beach band on Saturday nights until 2AM with all doors & windows closed! noise ordinance but not enforced (for #14 & 13 units facing harbor)

Spring Break
Had a very nice time with my daughter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They assisted us when we were having difficulties with getting a vehicle from the rental agents. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom and kitchen have been updated along the central air system. The bedroom and living room are a little dated but cozy. There is not much of a beach area and the pool is quite small. More of a boutique hotel than resortish. Very quiet and lots of security to insure your safety. Easy walk to Cruz bay for dinner and shopping. We would go back again. : )

Great views and location
This is not a hotel/resort but a lovely condo complex. Ideal for a romantic getaway. I would not recommend it for families with children and was pleased that others seemed to agree as it was very quiet as we hoped it would be. Children under 5 are not allowed but I think that families with children older than that would be uncomfortable (the pool is small and a sign calls it the "serenity pool" or something close to that). Our room was lovely and comfortable, and the views from this property are spectacular. There is no real beach here (the website says there is one, but it's just a few feet of sand in one spot) but I wouldn't recommend spending much time in any one place on St John. There is good snorkeling right from the property and the restaurant on site is fabulous (open only for dinner). We will absolutely go back.

Great Place
My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights, and loved it! The view was absolutely amazing! It was so nice to stay on the ocean in St.John. The onstant sound of the waves was so relaxing. Only, and I mean ONLY negatives- bar/restaurant doesn't serve food or drinks until after 5:00pm- so plan for your own food and drinks in room...and parking is tough... Great place- would love to visit again!

Can't wait to go back
All the comforts of home with the amenities of a hotel. Daily maid service, beach towels, coolers, beach chairs The staff was incredibly helpful in giving us suggestions for beaches, restaurants and excusions. Location is perfect, beautiful views of the ocean and harbor yet close to town. The pool was never crowded and at times we felt like we had the whole resort to ourselves (never heard our neighbors). There are grills, washing machines/dryers available as well. It felt like our home away from home, but better. We are already planning our return trip.

Take a catamaran trip on the Kekoa. It was our favorite day of our trip, sailing to the British Virgin Islands. They also offer trips around St.John and sunset cruises.

Good at Gallows Point
This resort has an enchanting, lovely, and very convenient location. Our upper-level harbor-view unit had a fully-equipped kitchen, nice tile floors, a spacious living/dining area, and a decent balcony. Also in the loft level was a large bedroom with a half-bath and a great king-sized bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Scenic ocean views from the very pleasant pool area. Easy, short walking access to the town of Cruz Bay, which is charming and chock full of shopping and dining options. We walked from Gallows Point several blocks to Virgin Islands National Park visitors center, and from there to two beautiful sandy beaches via a one-mile trail. St. John Island is less populated, slower-paced, and more "natural" than St,. Thomas Island.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Take advantage of the fully-equipped kitchen (and save some money) by laying in a supply of food from one of the two grocery stores in Cruz Bay. We had fun cooking a nice breakfast together some mornings and enjoying it on the ocean-view deck just below the resort's pool area. Savings from this will allow you a few well-chosen dining experiences at one of the fine restaurants in Cruz Bay.

Waterlemon Cay had the best snorkeling but it is a drive and a hike. You may not be able to get a taxi to pick you up so rent a jeep if you can. It is definitely worth it!

Awesome location and experience
Beautiful location with a private beach and pool. This is rather rare on St, Johns. Very well kept facility and friendly staff more than willing to accommodate their guests. Within walking distance of many restaurants, shops and markets. The condo was beautiful and extremely comfortable and very clean. This trip was for a special occasion and more than met our expectations.
