relaxing and quiet

The beach was almost unusable because of the seaweed. The room was nice and had a very nice view. Pool was clean and rarely busy. The room was well supplied with appliances and utensils and dishes. Would definitely reccomend renting a car.

Not Great

Got key stuck in lock and was locked out after office had already closed. Handle on sliding glass door broke off it was so corroded. Another slider wouldn't open at all. Found large cockroach in kitchen one night. Lost power in unit for an entire day and once restored only part of the unit had power. Beach was small and very full of seaweed so it wasn't pleasant to swim in. Rooms were old and needed updating badly. Cleanliness was not a top priority. The only good things were that it was close to downtown, the staff was friendly and once I changed to another resort, they authorized a refund for the nights I couldn't stay with them after the power outage.

Nice Location

The condo was nice and the staff very friendly. We just wished that the owners of these condos kept them up better. We had friends that stayed in 2 others at the same location they felt the same as we did. A little maintanence each year would go a long way. We would stay here agian but I wouldn't rate it higher then 3 stars.

The restaurant on the property next door was wonderful. We didn't visit it until the day we we're leaving and wished we had sooner.

Nice units vey clean and viewing the ocean was great

When we arrived, there was nobody there to give us a key and while we tried to get ahold of someone another couple pulled up and also had the same problem. The lobby was closed it started raining on us we still had no key to get in our unit after an hour of searching the property, we found someone who helped us get in our room, besides that, the rooms were very nice and clean and i enjoyed my stay.

SERVED OUR PURPOSE WELL

My husband and I don't need glamour and glitz to be comfortable. The accommodations at the Colony Cove were clean, well furnished and met our needs quite well. The staff at the front desk went overboard to assist us, and we encountered only pleasant staff throughout our stay. The grounds were immacutate, and every worker always spoke. If we were to visit St. Croix again, we would definitely stay at the Colony Cove. We have only one suggestion that could have made our stay more enjoyable. A small restaurant that serves breakfast would be most helpful and convenient.

There is a bar/restaurant on the Colony Cove premises, and the atmosphere and food were both excellent. Breakfast is not served anywhere on the premises or even nearby, but the refrigerator in our room kept breakfast supplies quite well.

Beautiful Place

The Colony Cove was a beautiful place to stay. We had a room right on the water. The hotel staff was extremely nice and very accomodating. Plenty of space in the room and really liked that they had a washer and dryer in each unit. Once suggestion would be to have supplies available for people to purchase while there. The room was very clean and the grounds were beautiful. Plenty of space for clothing in the closets. Plenty of room for entertaining. Loved the patio and the view. I will definetly stay there again. Again, very friendly, very professional accomodating staff!! I have traveled many Islands.. love St. Croix. Met a wonderful person there too. :)

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Plenty of shopping in town. The avocado has a great breakfast. You can arrange to take a sea plane to another island or perhaps a boat ride. Nice boardwalk with plenty of restaurants.
