Can't wait to book again!

Hotel is not "5 stars" with grand entrance ways, marble stairs, etc but the hotel rooms are very large and the beach was beautiful. What more could you need? We had an ocean view suite in building 7- One bedroom, one bath with double vanity, large living room, full kitchen, and outdoor patio. The sunset was gorgeous. Not a bad room in the whole resort. Pros: -Located on the East end of the island away from the hustle and bustle of Charlotte Amalie -Secret Harbour provides easy access to the ferry to St. John located in Red Hook -Beach was beautiful and very well kept. Towels, beach lounge chairs, umbrellas, and hammocks are provided for Secret Harbour guests. -There are 2 restaurants located at the resort: One was Sunset Grille which is fine dining and one is Cruzan Beach with more of a laid back, come as you are and eat a fish sandwich, hamburger, pizza, etc. They also serve guests on the beach during the day. Travis was a great server; always ready to go get us another drink! Every meal = delicious. -The Aqua Action Dive Center is available at the resort where you can rent snorkel gear, paddle boards, scuba dive equipment and buy t-shirts, sunscreen, etc. Diane was extremely nice and let us keep our snorkel gear until after hours since we took it to St. John to snorkel in Waterlemon (highly recommend!) -Jester Sailing is located in this harbour so it was very convenient to wake up and sail with Captain Jim for the day. He took us to beaches on St. John you can only get to by boat or hiking as well as a great snorkeling Cay. He has all the equipment. Also, his lunch is delicious. Must do--Book your reservations! Cons: -Chance of cold water during your shower BUT once we called, they fixed it and it was great the rest of the trip. -The beds were harder than I am used to but after long days of activities, I was so exhausted you barely notice. -Breakfast was fairly expensive so we ended up going to the Food Center about 5 minutes from the resort and picking up some breakfast items. It was great having a full kitchen. Also, we would eat dinner and take the left overs home for lunch some days. Very convenient. -Mosquitos are out to bite beginning at sunset. Be prepared with bug spray. Loved our stay. Will definitely be coming back.

St. Thomas gem

My family and I had a wonderful week at this resort. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the facilities were very good. The location was fantastic; we had great snorkeling in the "secret" harbor which was mostly just used by resort guests. We walked out of our unit's patio door right onto the beach and then into the water - what convenient access! We did some other snorkeling in the area (off of St. John), but our favorite place was the Secret Harbour area. Amazing! The food at the resort was quite tasty. Since we did not rent a car for our trip, we ate most of our meals in the resort's cafe and restaurant and enjoyed them all. Also, the food and drink service provided right on the beach made things even more easy and relaxing. I highly recommend this resort!

Rent snorkel equipment from the attached aquatic center (Aqua Action) for your whole visit; you will want to use it every day. Also, take an excursion on the Jester sailboat; you can sign up for it through Aqua Action. It is a wonderful experience!

Getaway vacation for 2

The staff was very nice at Secret Harbour. They were helpful and informative on where to snorkle, what to "see", and where to eat. The best place to eat, in my opinion was right at the Secret Harbour Grill. The room we stayed at was very homey, and comfortable. It had a nice kitchen with all the utensils and cookware. The view was amazing! The beach was great. They had plenty of chairs and also a dive shop to get anything you may need for your day at the beach. We would love to go again, and stay at Secret Harbour.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

We liked the Secret Harbour Grill, but we also took a short drive (the driving is crazy at St. Thomas, so we took a taxi that is generally always infront of the hotel) to the food center to get a few things for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks to have in our room. Also have cash with you to pay for the taxi.

Fantastic getaway

I enjoyed very much my stay at the Secret Harbour Beach Resort. It’s a family friendly resort, very relaxing, quiet location, beautiful beach, trees and flowers. The beach is not crowded so you feel like the beach is yours, great snorkeling. The hotel is just few minutes to the Red Hook Ferry which is the best location to catch the Ferry to St John, only 15 minutes boat ride. The staff is friendly and ready to answer all of your questions with a smile. All rooms without exception offer a view to the beach. My room was on the 5th floor ocean view suite 1 bedroom. Trust me Incredible view!!!. . Food and drinks were a bit expensive like all hotels/resorts you will find in St Thomas. A Tip: Instead of spending a fortune on taxis during day to go downtown Charlotte Amalie ( Main Street) for shopping or else which will cost you about $15 one way if you are traveling alone, catch a taxi from the hotel ( about $6) to Red Hook Ferry Port and then catch the Safari ( $2 open air local taxi) to anywhere else downtown, just ring the buzzer and the taxi will stop at your desired location. However if you are going to Coral World, the aquarium, you will need to take a taxi ( about $9 from the Hotel). The Safari doesn’t go there. IMPORTANT: the bigger the group taking the cab, the cheaper the price will be.

Relaxing Vacation

We stayed at Secret Harbour for 5 nights. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo in the 700 building. The room was outdated and had a strong musty smell. We would keep the sliding doors open and the air conditioner off. The room had plenty of space and a nice set up. The walk from the beach to the room was trying to say the least. Our air conditioner leaked all over the balcony floor causing it to be very slippery so that is another reason we limited its use. The view from our room was amazing.
