worth every penny

If looking for that little getaway, romantic view, and nice little beach, then this place is perfect. These are basically individually owned 1 and 2 bedroom condos, with kitchen, dining and living rooms and very nice bedrooms and baths. Bed was a king, too hard for my taste but acceptable. Remember this is the tropics, expect some bugs. Beach is great, the dive shop was fantastic. Restaurant was very good but a little pricey, but then everywhere we went food was expensive. Definitely going back.

Paradise Found

We absolutely loved Secret Harbour and we will definitely return. I have even looked into buying property there. The condo we had was lovely and comfortable. We cooked our own breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen and made our own evening drinks. We had a great balcony view of the bay and the beach was easy access. We were fortunate enough to witness a beautiful beach wedding right below our room. Snorkeling is great right there from the beach; you don't have to go anywhere else if you don’t want to. The only downside we found was that there is only one restaurant and bar on site, and since it's a fairly remote location, you either have to get a taxi (expensive) or walk over a mile (steep hills) to Red Hook for shopping, other restaurants, and bars. (Don’t attempt to walk back from Red Hook, however. No sidewalks, narrow roads, and hills make it too dangerous and difficult to walk from that direction.) All in all we had the best vacation ever. Enjoy!

The Safari busses run quite often from Red Hook. For only $1 or $2 per person, depending on distance traveled, you can go all over the island

Fantastic beach resort

Fantastic location, great resort. We were in suite 736 that has a wonderful view of the bay and is a very nicely refurbished flat with great bathroom and living room and angle terrace. The downsides were the lack of wireless signal and the steps to reach the room from the beach but overall a great vacation. The resort has very convenient restaurant and cafe on the beach front even if on the pricey side. They also had a gated parking in case you rent a car.

Beautiful resort in St Thomas

We stayed in a one bedroom suite by the pool. The view was beautiful and it was a short walk to the beach. The resort is very well maintained with lovely gardens so I don't think you need to spend the extra money to have a beachfront room unless you are traveling with someone elderly. The beach bar had excellent food - reasonably priced. Snorkeling right off the beach was the best we experienced in either St Thomas or St John. Would definitely stay in Secret Harbour again. Take the ferry to St John from RedHook

Short ferry ride to St John for dinner or lunch at the Sun Dog Cafe. Rent a dingy in St John and go to Cinnamon Bay.

fun in the sun

Have been to St Thomas numerous times, and love the east end best. Secret Harbor's location is terrific - easy access to dining at Red Hook and ferry to St John. Their beach is one of the best, protected so usually calm, and good snorkeling. We stayed in a room with balcony overlooking the beach. The room wasn't luxurious but was large and comfy and clean. Having the fridge and microwave was great, allowing us to have snacks and breakfast foods. The hotel staff were friendly and accomodating and quick to respond (we had airconditioner issues, resolved). The dive shop staff were great too. would DEFINITELY come back.

If you've rented a car in St Thomas and want to visit St John, hop the hourly car ferry so you can easily see the sights there. It's cheaper and more convenient than worrying about taxis on the other side

Great Family Getaway

Resort was clean and well maintained with a pleasant and helpful staff. Stayed in a 1 bdrm oceanview suite/condo with a full kitchen that was quite and provided a magnificient view of the entire bay. The resort boasts a nice restaurant, grille, and bar. All located on the small and quite beach. It also has a complete dive shop with a friendly and knowlegeable staff as well. We will go back again only for a longer stay!

Nice View

We stayed in a unit that was on the hillside. Upside was a great view. Downside was lots of steps. If you have trouble walking, try to get a lower unit. The bar and restaurant were nice with great views of the sunset. Ferry to St. John is very close. Grocery store is close too but the other direction. Redhook has just a few nice places to eat. Get your head into mellow mode as soon as you land because things here are definately on Island Time. Just relax and have some more Cruzan you're on vacation.

Great hotel, amazing ocean view, coral reef right on private beach- great place to snorkel. Hotel restaurant delicious and affordable. Went with my fiance- we saved a ton booking hotel and flight combo- probably $2,000 in savings. Close to red hook where you can catch ferry to st john. we had ocean view rooms- i liked them better than beach front- better view and quieter.

great value

Great snorkeling from the beach. not too far from Red Hook shopping. Housekeeping noticed we didn't use the decaf so they left extra regular coffee packets. You should upgrade to beachfront, it is worth the exta. The Jester sailboat is located here and a dive center/shop. It seemed to be mostly familys and quiet couples which suited us.

Lovely getaway

Secret Harbour has spacious rooms with full kitchens, friendly staff, and an on-site restaurant with magnificent food. They also make the best Bushwackers on the island. We had a very pleasant stay and loved the quiet beach and spectacular sunsets.
