awful!

I went to st thomas for work... The first room that they put us in smelled like mold, the fridge was completely rusted and the phone did not work. I told them that the phone didnt work and we were supposed to have a new one in, after waiting 24 hours and nothing happening i had to walk all the way back to the front desk (which is up a mountain) to ask for a new room. Once i got a new room the manager called to let us know that thw room was upgraded with no fee?! THE OLD ROOM WAS AWFUL! Staff wasnt nice as well. If you stay here, good luck.

Do not stay here!

This is the worst hotel experience we've ever had. A/C did not work, no hot water. Staff was totally unresponsive and very rude! No one at the front desk after 5:00, or before 9:00. View from the room was great! But if you value basic amenities, Do not stay at this hotel!

Great views, great location

The rooms here are like little island villas, with lots of glass and open spaces, and perched above Sugar Bay with great views of the islands. Close to Redhook and easy to get to either the north or south side of the island. The staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful.

Worst Hotel Experiance Ever!!!!!!!

I tried checking in after 6PM. the guard at the front was friendly, but had no idea what was going on. I guess the Front Desk Closes after 5PM... What Kind of Hotel closes the front desk... Where was the Manager On Duty.... after 30 Minutes of waiting for someone to come back, not even an employee of the Hotel, but the one across the way, came over to set me up in my room. The Room was nice, AC non existent. NO WIFI... like advertised. The following morning, I was about a minute into my shower, WITH NO HOT WATER, when the water just stopped. trying to check out, at 7:30AM... the front desk still closed. as i was driving out to give the key to the guy at the gate, he said the car that just went up was the Front Desk Staff. I will never stay there again. Worst Hotel Experience ever.

If I ever go back to st. Thomas im staying here again! For sure!!!

For the price I was expecting the worst! But we got there late at night and there was a really nice lady waiting outside to greet us and take us to our room. It turned out to be way better than we both expected!! The room was big with a kitchen and had a beautiful view of the bay with a large balcony!

Perfect for a quiet getaway

I stayed in an ocean view unit down near the water. The room was spacious, clean, and open, with 3 large sliding glass doors on two sides, with a balcony outside them that looked over Water Bay and east to St. John and Tortola. Great breezes, too. It's set up with a nice kitchenette and dining area. The setup is "condo style", and you can drive to your unit and park there. You can be self-sufficient, stocking the kitchen with the basics, and still easily head off the property to eat if you'd like. Red Hook is 5 minutes away. The property has a path to a private little beach around the rock bend from Sugar Bay. There is also a restaurant /bar Jack's down on the water. Good food and fun. My unit did not have internet access available, and I understand that it is not available everywhere, although you can go to the activities center (the lobby/registration area) and connect there. Otherwise, bring a hotspot and you should be fine.

Go to the restaurant "Thirteen" up on the north side on Hwy 33 (Crown Mountain Road). A little pricey, but very, very good food.

Wonderful St. Thomas Vaca!!!!

We had a delightful time while staying at Point Pleasant! The accommodations were amazing - large windows looking out over the ocean, a constant breeze made the room temp wonderful, and a full kitchen for nightly family cooking! Only issue was the nightly noise from the huge hotel located down the beach. Located on the East end of the island, I was able to capture beautiful sunrises each morning and the ferry to St. John and restaurants in Red Hook were only minutes away. We would stay there again.

Constsruction

We checked in for our second stay at Point Pleasant resort . When we arrived to our room, there was loud construction in the adjacent room. We went to the front desk, and they told us they had no idea construction was going on. There were scaffolds and yellow tape all over the place, so I don't see how the front desk had no knowledge of construction. They showed us another room that was dirty, covered in bugs, the A/C was on a 30 minute timer, and was just horrible. We were told that was the only other room available and the construction would be finished that night. We decided to stay in our original room. The construction crew told us that they would be working all week from 7:30 AM to 6 PM that week, which was totally opposite what the front desk and bell staff told us. We were woke up at 7 AM by hammering, air compressors and power saws the next morning. We had to get another hotel, but Point Pleasant still penalized us and made us pay for two nights. We were not made aware of the renovations and this was in no way our fault. I am very unhappy that we were penalized by the hotel for something that we had no knowledge or control over. The hotel was not helpful nor did they apologize for ruining our honeymoon. We were so excited about the resort, the pools, the restaurant on the bay, but instead we got rude staff and power tools. In fact, we could see this resort from our new hotel, and the construction scaffolds and workers could be seen working all week long, despite the staff lying to us that construction was only lasting the one day.

ICK

So the hotel is very far from anything, and the taxi drivers make it seem like a chore to drive you back to Point Pleasant. There are little bugs all over the bathroom and kitchen, and we kept finding larger bug droppings on the counter in the kitchen and bathroom but never found the bugs. It was gross! The frontdesk said that they were going to set up our taxi pickup for the airport, and the taxi never showed up. My boyfriend and I almost missed our fight, and we had to walk over 3 miles making it to the airport and take the safari. It was a horrible visit to St. Thomas.
