Marriott Frenchman's Reef and Morning Star Beach Resorts

The security staff were wonderful. We arrived about 11 PM after a long day of travel. We were fatigued and travel weary. The security personnel helped us get settled into our room, making sure our outdoor patio locked scurely for or safety. He delivered our luggage to our room and moved our car into the parking lot for us and returned our keys and let us know where the car was parked. Such service is greawt and we appreciated it since we were so fatigued! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

it was ok. staff were ok parking when the have a function is absolutely terrible. they acknowledged we were celebrating are anniversary at check in then did nothing on are anniversary date.. overall lack luster.

Best experince ever. The staff (Particularly Colin, Marigold) were awesone. Great location and nice property.

The resort is lovely, and clean. The only negative thing I have to say is the front desk staff isn't extraordinarily helpful or nice. And the adventure/concierge desk is semi helpful, but I felt that they promoted their own tours too much and didn't suggest anything else. But I guess that's to be expected.

Well the hotel is nice most of the staff is nice. But the food wasn't good and very pricey. On one night we couldn't find a place to park. I left the car to call the hotel desk to find out where to park she informed me to see the security guard outside. Well my husband drove to her and she just stood there and didn;t answer his question . Takes very long to check in even with my Marriott rewards card and the special check in desk you can use for it. Also the sliding doors to the balcony are really loud when people above you or below open it. It sounds like a train coming through. The beached were nice and cozy. Pool was nice . Managers reception was nice. Nice guests. Except the parents who let their kids run through the halls screaming. Com on people respect each other when it comes to noise.

We have been here for 5 days. Not enough parking tonight. We were not given a map of the property when we checked in. It took us 2 days to figure it out. The adventure staff was not very helpful the second time we went to check things out. We had to book things by ourselves because I refused to book with the guy behind the counter. There really isn't Much to do after 5 the whole town shuts down

Marriott Frenchman's Reef and Morningstar resort has a lot going for it: - Great location: 5 minutes drive from Charlotte Amelie downtown - Beautiful beach (Morningstar Beach) - Sprawling property with really good amenities - Internet, Beach towels, Kayaks, Snorkel gears, bottled water, free guest reception, parking, shuttle service etc. is covered in resort fee. Adventure center, tennis courts, spa and some really good restaurants are available on site We loved staying here.. Everything was great, except: - Quality/Comfort in room: In our room, the balcony door was broken when we checked in. The refrigerator in the room made a lot of noise all the time. Second day morning, while taking shower, the soap plate fell off and a big piece of ceramic went in my right foot. There was blood all over the place.. Luckily, we had first aid supplies, and with the help of hotel's security guys, we bandaged the wound. But, I couldn't go in water for 3 days! Overall, things inside the room seemed tacky and not well maintained. They kept breaking all the time. - Internet was on-off all through our stay.. When it worked, it was excruciatingly slow.. When we complained, we were told that it will be fixed, but it never really got fixed. - Service is a joke. We ordered couple of glasses of orange juice to our room for breakfast.. How much time does it take to pour ready orange juice from a pack in two glasses and send them to room? It took 1.5 hours before the juice arrived. By then, we had completely forgotten about it. Same with alarm service - We tried to call the reception to set-up alarm calls, and we were kept on hold forever. We gave up. Even with these issues, I'll still recommend staying here. The location and amenities are too good and they outdo poor service and quality in my opinion.

The hotel is nice, but we have stayed at 4 Star hotels/resorts that were much nicer. We went for our honeymoon, and the staff was nice enough to give us a free upgrade from resort view to ocean view. However, that must have been the worst ocean view room. It was in the side building on the bottom floor the furthest corner with a really bad view. The Wi-Fi didn't work in that room, and the water was lukewarm at best. So, I requested a room change, as Wi-Fi and hot water were imortant for us, and we were moved to the main building, 5th floor. The new room was good. The restaurants are good, but pricey. As a couple, we never left a restaurant without paying at least $100 (incl. about 18% tip). I was a little disappointed that the front desk didn't provide a small tube of free tooth paste. EVERY hotel in my past offered that. Here, I was referred to the gift shop. Not a huge deal, but it's just one amenity missing. Altogether, the hotel was pretty good, and I don't have a comparison to other hotels on the island. It seems only the Ritz is better.

I loved the Morningstar and being right on the beach...I would stay there again soon..

Our stay at the Marriott in St Thomas was amazing. Great service, friendly staff, beautiful scenery. Would definitely come back!!
