Spring Vacation Trip
This hotel is in a perfect place but the facility surely lacked luxury room accomodations. In our room we had a broken lamp, shower curtain was missing when we arrived; and 2 cigarette butts were on the patio porch (which was surprising since this is a smoke-free hotel). In the foyer of our hotel room tiles were missing on the steps, dishes were seen outside for more than 24 hours. The landscaping and the crews that maintained it did a beautiful job. The main eating area which is a outside area had free-standing water in the entrance way which made the guests seek alternatives. The ferry boats which transported guests required cleaning.

St. John's Newly Weds
Wedding Home Away from Home
My husband and I had a destination wedding at St. John and decided last min to stay at the Westin instead of renting a villa. This was an excellent choice that we made!! First, we got upgraded from a garden view villa to a hillside villa which over looks the hills of St. John and let me tell you . . . it was BEAUTIFUL!! The villa that we stayed in was very livable and was truly a home away from home. It had a kitchen with an island to eat breakfast, a HUGE full bathroom, a dinning table for four, a living room with a pull out sofa, a washer and dryer and balcony all on the first floor. The second floor had the bedroom with a full bathroom. My husband and I had plenty of room to get ready for the wedding and even had plenty of room to have our cinemotographer film our wedding preparation without fumbling on top of each other. The staff was WONDERFUL!!! I had called the front desk to ask them about the ferry times because our fight out to go to Puerto Rico was at 8:30am. Without me even asking or saying a thing, on the day of our flight at 4:45am we had one of the staff knock on our door to wake us up to get ready to take the 5:15am ferry (the recommendation is to be at the airport 2hrs early )and took us on a private ferry to St. Thomas as the Westin's ferry doesn't run until 9am, then there was a private taxi that took us from the private dock to the airport. Needless to say we made it there on time. The staff anticipates your needs and then actually works to fulfill your needs! The rooms are extremely overpriced but you truly are paying of the services. We are coming back next year!

Check in with the front desk to receive your coupon that you can use on the Island. In addition, there is a coupon to go to Little Switzerland (sells designer jewelry) for you to get a free prize. We got a silver turtle necklace. There's all sorts of coupons from different shops for different thing from free drinks to some money off the bill.

Wonderful family resort
We had a great stay at the Westin St John! It's a beautiful resort with tons of children's activities! The rooms (bathrooms in particular) are in need of updating but it was clean, comfortable and spacious. It was not the prettiest beach on St John but we rented a dingy on site and rode around to the nicer beaches.

GREAT VACATION SPOT
The Westin is a beautiful resort with some of the best villas on St. John. You can not ask for anything more from the staff very helpful with what ever it is that you may need. Great food on location and store within walking distance. Taxi available from hotel to town or beach at all times or even rent a vehicle right there. (remember drive on the right side of the road). Would recommend this location as a family trip or a group tirp with friends.

Wonderful couples vacation spot
We arrived after sunset and were greeted with drinks and a tour of the beautifully lit resort. Food and drinks were pricey, but the pool and beach was amazing. Our room could use some updating, but overall was a great vacation away from crowds and commercial life. Don't forget the bug spray! We got bit up but enjoyed the wandering iguanas and friendly stray cats.

Loved the Westin, St. John
We went there for our anniversary and stayed 7 nights at this lovely resort. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable king size bed. The concierge was very helpful and had great recommendations. CruzBay Watersports at the resort offered a fantastic snorkeling day trip to the British Virgin Islands. After spending each day at a different gorgeous beach, we refreshed in the lovely Westin pool. Transportation was interesting, bus/taxi's are plentiful (but the price adds up!) and are a great option for travel on the very steep and winding roads - and driving on the left. If you take a family renting a car would be more cost effective.Highly recommend this resort!

Best place to stay on St. John
Requested an ocean view room & ended up with a beach front room (apparently an upgrade??). Room was nice, just steps from the beautiful beach & pools. The resort is very large so expect to walk. Very rarely were we patient enough to wait for a shuttle. When we really needed one they were nowhere in sight. Be careful as well because some cart drivers do not share the road with walking guests. This resort caters to children - would love to bring our grandchild back. :-) Ladies at the pool bar were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Food at snorkels was also very good. I lost track of how many times we ate there. Breakfast was over priced & nothing to write home about. $4.00 for iced tea?? Seriously?? Oh ya, had to pay for the view of the westin employees arriving for work. We stayed for 5 nights and nearly each afternoon I stopped by the resort help desk & they graciously called to set up dining reservations. We never had dinner at the Westin - too many great restaurants to try. One other drawback - the cleaning staff BANG loudly on the door to get you up. Quite rude before 9:30. You must call the front desk for specific cleaning times. We rented a car from the agent located at the Westin. I could write a novel about my experience..but won't. I was TOLD several times 1. Enjoy the beach, leave the beach out of our car. 2. Stay to the left 3. Fill up the tank before you bring it back (no brained). 4. There is a $250 fee for lost, stolen or damaged keys. BEST PART???? I was given 2 minutes to inspect & verify the fuel level. Before walking out the door...I had to hear rules 1-4 again. Each time was a little louder and more direct. They could have saved even more time by using a bull horn. Husband enjoyed his 80 minute massage with Todd...just be prepared to listen to his political ideals, his trip to India to study other healing practices and lovely discussions regarding his views of current events. Relaxing?? Really? Overall we enjoyed the resort

Go to Morgan Mangos down near mongoose junction. Excellent food, great ambiance, live music, friendly staff. Also try "Deli Grotto" - it's a MUST for sandwiches, baked bread, snacks, salads & the owner is the best! "High Tide" was pretty good - their chicken parmigiana was top notch for a beach bar. Try "Gastro Grug" at the starfish market. It's upstairs, sort of hidden but well worth the experience. Feeling adventurous??? Have lunch or dinner at Skinny Legs in Corral Bay. Best darn cheeseburger I have ever had & I've had my share. Low key, low prices, cool people. Great place to see donkey's and goats.
