The Architecture of the resort is inspired by the local environment and the realization of the 36 rooms, followed a project to minimize as much as possible the nature impact. Simplicity and refinement, always according to the oriental style and as the INDO name Chenla reminds us, are the dominant leitmotiv for decorations and furniture inside the rooms, all equipped with international in-room amenities to ensure the maximum comfort for all guests. *** Please be informed that the hotel's swimming pool will be closed for repair works from 8th till 29th Oct 2011. The hotel is offering other options of relaxation, recreation and tranquility thru the hotel's wide beach, water sport activities and an access to a private pool at one of our Pool Villa. ***

Beautiful place. Major service issues.

We went to Phu Quoc for four nights, but only booked the Chen La for one night, as that was the only availability. [...]The breakfast buffet was good and the pool was beautiful. They were out of towels at the pool, which was a bit crazy for such a high priced, luxury hotel at 10:00 in the morning. [...] We had a pool villa, which was stunning. There was confusion about the villa, though. Right after they took us to the villa another couple came with someone from reception to the same villa. In the end, we stayed in it, but the other couple was very displeased. The bathtub was beautiful, but there was only enough hot water to fill it about 1/20 full. The view was amazing and the room was really great. We had one bedroom upstairs and one bedroom downstairs with a living room area as well. The location is really secluded, so if you are looking for peace and quiet, this could be your place, if the hiccups with service are fixed. If you are looking to go to town in the evenings, I would definitely stay somewhere else.Basically, the hotel itself is really beautiful, but there are serious management issues.
