The place to stay in Hue
La Residence is in many ways a perfect hotel. Especially of note is the opiparous breakfast, the beautiful pool overlooking the perfume river, and the fantastic room where no detail is spared. The staff was always accomodating and helpful

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
The restaurant on Nguyen Hue one block from the hotel is always packed with locals and it is delicious. Also, the coal-toasted banh minh from a sidewalk vendor also on Nguyen Hue but farther east, in front of the Hue University Hospital is the best you'll ever have, a steal for US$ 0.50
