we really enjoyed the short 3-day
we really enjoyed the short 3-day stay at the HHL hotel....however, please be clearer on the bedding size and on the policy of adding a 3rd person in the room...the manager on duty & his front desk staff were always nice & courteous in satisfying our requests while staying at the hotel.

Great place to stay
I was very pleased with this hotel. Modern facilities in the room very clean and the staff was excellent. I needed a king size bed and was accommodated. The rooms A/C was great. The TV, sitting chair, desks, coffee table and mini fridge were perfect. It was a room you could enjoy staying in for a while. The breakfast buffet has to be seen to be appreciated. It was outstanding. Used the free internet every day. Hotel staff at the front desk was great in providing suggestions for restaurants and shopping. My wife and I will definitely be back next year for 2 weeks.

Really unbeatable for the price!!!
Great location and the rooms were really clean. The beds were really comfortable compared to other hotels I stayed in with a three or four stars rating. I love the strong flow of water coming from the shower head. I love their toilets with the bidet,it was very sanitary. The only negative thing I have to say is that some rooms just have a wall for a view from their window, but it is very quiet. If you want to sleep in the construction noise starts at 10 o' clock. Also if you want to get any good complimentary breakfast I would get there early,because it get's slim pickings for food later on about 8:30-9:30 am. They do have a made to order eggs and PHO noodles bar, which is a good. The staff was excellent and friendly. Another perk from the hotel is that they have a excellent Massage Spa on premise. They give you a discount if you are staying in the hotel and very cheap, but they gave me best massage I ever had in the world. Try #4 massage person.

Know where your going first before you go in a taxi. With a address and knowing some Vietmanese words so they won't cheat you. Have some small bills to pay for the taxi. Most rides in the city will cost you less then 20,000 Dongs.

Bags opened and money taken from room
The room was adequate, although had no window - as was the case for many others travelling in our group, and the location of this hotel was good. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. However, my stay at this hotel was spoilt due to someone going into a zipped pocket in a closed rucksack and taking banknotes from my purse. They were also careless enough to drop a coin on the floor. I reported this to the reception staff who were not at all interested and were unable or unwilling to offer a solution. Unfortunately I had to leave the hotel due to onward travel plans without being able to resolve this. I have since emailed the manager at the hotel offering an opportunity for the management to comment or suggest a solution. The hotel has not even had the courtesy to acknowledge my mail. I would recommend that travellers choose alternative accommodation in HCMC

A really poor hotel. Check in
A really poor hotel. Check in staff were unhelpful, giving us a twin room when a double had been booked and then being surly when we told them we wanted the room we had booked. We were told our luggage would be moved to the new room while we were out shopping. After 5 hours we returned, only to be told that they had put the two beds together to make a double bed. We went up to our room to find that this had not even been done. I told the duty manager I did not like being lied to and he immediately found another room (strangely enough - why only then?). Upon departure the staff were plain surly and uncommunicative. Breakfast is a poor selection oriented to the Singaporean weekend tourists who seem to frequent this hotel. My advice, stay away and find a better hotel in Saigon. This is rubbish.
