One Of The Oldest Hotels In Ho Chi Minh City built in 1930 and completely restored in 1997, nestled in Saigon's scene riverside area and within walking distance to major commercial and entertainment addresses, and still retained its French colonial style, provides a perfect base for conducting business or for having completely relaxed vacation.
The following services will be temporarily closed for upgrading 5-star hotel until further notice: 1) Accommodation in the New Wing: Superior and Deluxe; 2) Health club: Sauna, Steambath, Jacuzzi, Massage; 3) Belle-Vue restaurant on the 12th Floor.
Grand Hotel will be a five-star hotel in 2011 with 233 rooms categories totally combined between new and old style, Western and Asian restaurants, conference rooms with capacity of up to 700 persons, and the best diversified quality services so as to satisfy every single guest.

- A child from 6 to 11 years old (sharing the bed with parents), it will be charged at $US 6++/child/day.

Nice Downtown Location on Dong Khoi
Nice buffet breakfast, great location for checking out Downtown/Dong Khoi/Nguyen Hue area.

Money-saving tip:
Long walk from hotel
If you're vacationing for more than a few days in HCMC, book a couple nights here (in the old section of the hotel) and book the rest of the time at one of the cheaper hotels in the quiet alleyways off of Pham Ngu Lao (I found alot more activity and much better bargains in that area). Downtown/Dong Khoi/Nguyen Hue is a must-see though especially during Tet, and this area is upscale compared to Pham Ngu Lao. I would stay here again.
