The description given of the hotel is a distant dream. This place in no way fits the description of a 3 star hotel, nor even the description in any travel websites. I just got back from 12 nights there and I can assure you that; there is no
functioning bar or restaurant - at all, the pool is not as shown in the photos and is drained dry anyway, there was a tv in the room but it did not work - and even if it did, they didn't have cable channels (only Uzbek language), the room carpets were sticky underfoot, only half the lights in the whole place worked and we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed because (despite attempts of repair) the bed frame was broken and sagged almost 6 inches in the middle. Breakfast was hit or miss, if you were there when they put it out you got some otherwise, try again tomorrow. Worst of all was the blackmail to pay for our registration papers at the end of the stay (when all -fairly expensive I might add, fees had been paid up-front to the travel agent who made the booking for us, and had been properly paid to the hotel)
This hotel is definitely not what it was in its 'hey-day' and is broken down and shabby - as are the staff. Look for another place to stay, there are several in the same area.
