Torrington is a railroad and agDiricultural town. Forty trains a day travel down the tracks that are across the street from the hotel. As I'm a train fan, this was not a problem for me. The rooms are surprisingly quiet, as long as the windows
are shut. That also helps keep the aroma from the cattle feedlot at the other end of town out of the room. The free breakfast is nice and the coffee is pretty good. Lunch and dinner are not available at the hotel, so you'll need to go out for those meals. Be aware that dining options on Sunday afternoon and evening, other than at fast food establishments, are especially limited.
I don't know why anyone would go to Torrington unless it was necessary. But if you do go, you won't find a better place to stay in town.
