Friendly girl at front desk, but TV remote didn't work or the telephone. She tried to help with new batteries, but
no improvement. It is also located near railroad tracks
(loud) but they do give you ear plugs to help.
We took the northern route across Wyoming to avoid the Frontier Days crowd in Cheyenne. I was a bit apprehensive when we drove up to this very plain, boxlike-constructed building, but was pleasantly surprised to find the room quite clean and
stocked with amenities that showed an extra dose of thoughtfulness to the traveler. Plentiful towels, shampoo, lotion, etc. and there was a good supply of sturdy handi-wipe towels by the fridge/microwave which came in handy. Breakfast included bagels & cream cheese, pastries, toast, juice, yoghurt, & hard-boiled eggs, and the staff was friendly and pleasant. Carpet needed a good steam clean, and sheer curtains need replacing, but the beds were comfortable, and I got a good night's sleep. Pillows not my style, but I pack my own when I can anyway. Ear plugs were provided to abate the noise of coal trains. Not at all crowded and the price was right. Would definitely stay again.
The room was so very clean and the hospitality of the hotel was great. I will stay here again next year when I am passing through at the same time. The locals were very nice as well. You can tell that the workers take great pride in there hotel.
Comfortable, very clean and welcoming. Flat screen tv's were a bonus.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Not very much to eat if you arrive after 9:00 at night. You are stuck with fast food since the town is so small, all the restaurants close early.
We were traveling for 2 weeks. We were most thankful to be able to use the laptop in the lobby. We decided to change our travel plans for the last part of our vacation. Being able to access the computer was most beneficial to us.
