Mixed bag

They offered us an upgrade when we arrived, but actually it wasn't better than the original room because one of the beds in the "upgrade" was an old sofa. We were able to switch back to the original plan. In that room, the toilet repeatedly backed up, and part of the floor was wet from their repair work. One closet door was missing. Noisy from people walking on the next floor above and on a stairway.

If you are coming to see the Grand Teton National Park, your first stop should be the Moose Visitor Center. Very attractive, better than a museum.

Inn at Jackson Hole

Cheked in to a handicaped room. Very small for the money spent and bath and shower were not adequate. We were moved after day one for a handicapped person that needed our room. There is no dining at this hotel and the rooms do not compare with others at this location. This hotel is not worth the price we paid. Location is fine but next visit will be at another hotel.

we were upgraded to Hotel Terra

We found out upon arrival that the hotel was overbooked and they immediately moved us to an upgraded property right next to the hotel we were booked at. The name was Hotel Terra and it was fantastic with absolutely no hassles whatsoever.

Great location, Room not so much

Location was great, easy access to all ski resort ammendies and quick ride to Jackson and the National Park. For the price of the room, I expected more for the price. The decore was outdated and cleaning was questionable. Rooms are needing an upgrade. We stayed in a room with a lunchenette that was very outdated. Bathroom had limited upgrades.

Don't waste your money

First of all, the hotel was in a ski village that was about 8-10 miles out of the city limits of Jackson. We arrived late in the evening and after finally getting to the hotel, we were given our room which was a remodeled storage closet! (the employee at the front desk admitted this) This room was barely large enough to fit the two full-sized beds that we reserved. The room had an odor about it that made it necessary to request a fan to be brought in. I found out in the morning the odor was from water leaking up into the floor of the closet (smell was probably mildew). Unfortunately, my clothes were lying on the closet floor, too. There was also no ironing board and when I tried to call the front desk, the room's phone was not working, so all calls had to be made from my cell phone. The kicker was when I woke up the next morning, I found two small spots of what looked like old, blood on the underside of my comforter!!! I told management about all of this upon leaving and they apologized and said they would take care of everything and gave me a 50% discount. This hotel was highly recommended by this website and I left very disappointed.

A welcome relife after a day at the park

Nice and restful. Enjoyed the Tram, lift and watching the para-sailing. Skip the waffles at the top but the hot chocolate is excellent.

Don't miss out on the Tram to the "top of the world". The Gondola runs in the evening for a great dinner.

Not as expected

Not knowing the area very well, we tried to pick a hotel that was near the airport. The description said it was 8 miles from JAC. This was not the case. We arrived to the hotel after our flight around 10pm. The parking was horrible. Could not find one spot because it shares the parking with 2 other hotels and many restaurants. Our room was close to the lobby but when we got into the room, it was so small we could barely walk around with all our luggage. We were traveling with our 12 yr old twins. They had an air conditioning unit sitting on the floor that took up the little space that was left in the room. I wasn't expecting anything great about the bathroom and I was right. It was small but seemed clean. The TV had cable but all the channels were fuzzy. Since we were only staying one night at the beginning of our trip to Yellowstone, I didn't care about the TV. But what really bothered me the most was that I was eaten alive by mosquitoes the whole night while sleeping. All the windows were closed so not sure where they were coming from. At the end our trip to Yellowstone, we had a reservation again at this hotel 5 days later but we did not want to come back. I tried to cancel that reservation but was told we had to give a 7 day notice or else pay the whole price so we were stuck having to come back. We were not looking forward to that but when we arrived to check in, somehow we were upgraded to the hotel behind them...Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa, which they also own. Now that hotel is a 4 star, beautiful rooms and bathrooms....but I will have to review that hotel later. The Inn at Jackson Hole was not worth the money and I would never book a room there again. The only thing I can compliment them on is having a very nice front desk staff and whoever upgraded us to the Teton Mountain Lodge (to our surprise) thank you, thank you, thank you!
