Overnight stay

We had a pleasant overnight stay. The room had everything we needed and was reasonably priced according to other motels in the area.

Very Poor

Poor housekeeping, stains on side of mattress, trash under bed, possible biting bugs, piles of logs and straw on back side of building, loud trains all night long, breakfast served in very small lobby, and TV expired!

Friendly staff

It was raining and we were beat so didn't do anything except stay in the room. However, the man at the front desk was just a jewel for friendliness and information. He was helpful at pointing out all of the amenities including the great breakfast. He even helped us formulate travel plans to Deadwood...since he had already been there. The room was clean and accessories just fine.

Not so good

We were disappointed in the motel for the cost. It was drab and smelled of Pine -sol strongly. Our screen was torn so couldn't open the window because of mosquitoes. They did allow dogs which we had, but when taking them out behind to potty, the weeds and grass were so tall they had a hard time finding a place to go (not mowed behind the motel). We would not choose this motel again.

Pee-eww!

I suspect that the room was formerly a smoking room that had been converted to a non-smoking room, without changing everything that absorbs the odors of cigarettes. So, it smelled musty, old, stale. Yuck. It was good to get off the road, but it was not a good value for the money. We won't stay there again.

It was OK. Tissue dispenser was just about out. It should have been checked by housekeeping and filled before our visit.

Desk service was awful, and awful slow.

Service was slow and our keys "expired" after the first night of our three-night stay. There is ONE table available for patrons of the very limited continental breakfast. The bathroom was cramped and the walls in the bathroom were dingy [needed new wallpaper]. The sink was separated from the bathroom but the light switch for the bathroom lit up the sink area also, so a midnight run to the toilet woke up fellow travelers when the lights came on at night.
