Enjoyable experience

The staff was very helpful and did all they could to make us comfortable. We had a problem with our rental car and they went out of their way to help us get the services we needed. The cabin was clean and well equipped. It was quiet and relaxing. We would highly recommend these accommodations to anyone. There was construction on the road to Yellowstone but the wait was not long and the highway department did everything they could to make the travel safe and easy.

BIG MISTAKE

it took 30 mintues to check out. they said i had cancelled the cheapticket reservation and rebooked with them directly at $60 more a night! They finally took off the higher rate when i started to get angry and found all my cheapticket printed documents with the right nightly rate. INCREDIBLE!

Good but...

It seemed we originally booked one room and not a cabin. So we slept the first night in the room. The day after a cabin was available for our next 2 nights. We accepted the extra charge and we have been told our luggages would be moved by the staff. Back to the hotel after midnight, we did not find our luggages in the cabin :( Front desk closed... One employee we met just told us she did not want to know anything about it since she was off at that time... We called a manager who has been really nice ! The management team offered gratefully the breakfast on the following morning. The cabin was really nice. BTW, Grand Tetan is 20min drive, no grocery around and Gas is cheaper in Jackson Hole.

Comfortable, fairly basic, overpriced

Chose because of location, nice enough room but possibly better suited to winter as no fridge or aircon. Reception staff fine. Restaurant overpriced except for pizza - servers very variable, had to keep reminding her to bring things. Breakfast buffet poor quality and poor value. With a little thought about food quality in buffet and server training could be quite good?

Recommend!

This lodge is a little off the beat and path, but that's what I loved about it! Rooms were clean and spacious. The restaurant even accommodated my special diet needs (gluten free). I ordered something the staff thought was GF and was served my entree. The chef discovered a hidden wheat ingredient and sent my waiter over to the table immediately to alert me (hadn't even had time for a bite). The chef whipped me up something new within minutes. Hot tubs were good, too!

Outstanding

It was an outstanding place to stay only about a hour from Yellowstone. The only "problem" we had was with the food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.

Nice and cozy

It is a nice place. We stayed one night in a cabin. It has everything you need including kitchen, bath, 2 TVs, fast Internet, etc. It feels very comfortable. People take good care about the guests. There were even mouth wash and q-tips in the bathroom. As for location, it is 16 miles from Moran junction and it seemed to be a bit too far from the main (photo) attractions to drive at night but in the morning we realized that this area worth the drive, especially in autumn. We arrived at 9 pm and were told that the food service is closed for the season. Fortunately, there were $6 lunch boxes with good combination of food, but this means there was no breakfast. (I wonder why these things close for the season so early. I think, end of September is a hot season for photographers, but most of campgrounds in Yellowstone are closed by then.)

Togwotee Lodge

They had my reservation, the room was clean and pleasant. The location was perfect to continue on north to Yellowstone. The chef at breakfast was personable and an excellant cook. The star, however, was the scenery on Rt 287 from Rawlins, right up to the lodge. Big, empty and gorgous.
