Yellowstone adventure
Hotel was hard to find. Staff was limited and not exactly friendly. Room was smelly and dirty when we arrived. Later on the week the housekeeping washed everything. However we discovered bed bugs on one of the beds. I will definite not recommended this hotel in the near future. Also the spa or hot tub was never available. I don't think it is in service. We got two days credit to our account for the discomfort we experienced, however, I have not check my credit card yet and confirmed the actual amount.

Rustic cabin-style rooms
We thought location of Hatchet Resort might be too far from Grand Teton National Park and Jackson, WY. But location was great. Away from hustle and bustle of Jackson but just 35 miles away. Drive to Jackson and park is beautiful and scenic. Rooms resembled a cabin. Older establishment which could use some updating to beds, showers only (no tubs), no coffee pots, refrigerators, hair dryer or irons in rooms. Even with this said we would stay again. Staff were great and resort had cafe opened for breakfast and evening restaurant opened for dinner. Food reasonably priced and everything we ate delicious. Great cooks! Play area for children also. Not a perfect place but an enjoyable stay non the less!

Good, Bad and Ugly.... but good location
Upon arrival, front desk reception was not friendly, clerk was doing inventory, so I had to wait until he was finished to be greeted!!! Room was dusty and unventilated, no air conditioning and no ceiling fan to freshen the room, outside air was better, mosquitos came into room from bent screens, so closed windows made room hot until about 3am....bedspreads looked like they were 15 years old and worn out, pillows the same, sheets looked clean; Bath towels worn out; no hair dryer. Felt like a camp site instead of a minimal motel....they need to take the "resort" out of their Hatchett Resort name....On a positive note, the little cafe people were VERY friendly and helpful.....we arrived back late night after 9pm closing and the personnel still there, fixed us a pizza which was good because there was nothing else/or restaurant to go for miles....I would NEVER recommend or stay at the Hatchett Resort??? Again....Linda from Texas

Great location
We were visiting Grand Teton area. This resort was convenient to the areas we wanted to spend time sightseeing. The resturant next door was a fantastic find. Be sure and have breakfast there, more food than we could eat. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Mosquito City in the middle of nowhere
This is not a RESORT or a SPA by any means. Most people who stayed here were only stopping for overnight. The restaurant staff and food were wonderful. The food was really good but pricey. It is the only food within 40 miles. The front desk staff is unhelpful; no ice machine but you can BUY ice. Mosquitoes were especially bad due to large amount of snow over the winter. The mosquitoes are UNBELIEVABLE! I live in the South and have never seen such a problem. Rooms were not cleaned or dusted. Beds are uncomfortable and thin.

Stay closer to Jackson Hole. There are two hotels located closer to town that I would choose. We were just too far from any food or necessities. If you like being isolated, you would like it here. Bring mosquito repellant.
