Perfect for active outdoorsy types
Location in the heart of the Tetons was perfect for a base of operations for exploring the Park. Log cabins were comfortable, clean, well appointed and had a wonderful rustic character. (Probably would not suit those seeking luxury accomodations)

A Nice, Peaceful Place
The location is wonderful. You are no more than a few blocks from a beautiful lake, and a two places to eat. Also, the cabins are very quiet at night. To be sure, the cabins do not have a whole lot in the way of amenities, but then again, how often are you going to be there? Overall, I would definitely stay here again, provided that I brought a lot of mosquito repellent, since these bugs are not endangered at this location.

My review of COLTER BAY VILLAGE
The facility staff was exceptionally helpful and accomodating. The freestanding log cabin was perfectly matched to the rustic lake and mountain setting. Maintenance and housekeeping was very well done. I plan to return in the near future.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
A beautiful Marina is within walking distance and is surrounded by the breathtaking Teton Mountains. Also, a short walk away from the cabins is the Coulter Bay Museum. It features a stunning display of native american artifacts.

Rustic, few aminities
We stayed one night in a one room cabin with two double beds and a twin bed. The twin bed mattress was very uncomfortable but the double beds were very comfortable. It was very clean. The bedspreads show some wear, the floors are tile and very clean! The bathroom is big but with limited fixtures and only a small shower. Our cabin was adjacent to the guest lounge which had seating, tables, ice machine and pop machine (no TV, etc) but you could have a little walk to the nearest ice machine from many cabins. It is a great location inside Grand Teton National Park and the nearby Leeks Pizza is a very good pizza place. We didn't eat at either of the restaurants at Colter Bay. It is truly rustic. No internet or TV available anywhere. There is no phone in the room and we had no cell phone coverage in the cabin. If you are staying at Colter Bay, you share facilities with Jackson Lake Lodge (JLL)(maybe 3 miles away) and I understand JLL has a pool and shared internetin the lodge.
