Eat at resturant, sleep somewhere else
Staying at Hampton Nov 19, 2009
1) Lots of confusion over our late arrival reservation. 2) First suite smelled like the pool room. 3) Substitute room too ... small for 3, 1 slept in chair. 4) Cold suite second night. It took 2 hours to warm room from 64 to 72. The other three potential substitute suites had the same heating problem. 5) No compensation on pricing was offered for these problems. 6) Hallways to rooms on 2nd floor and above smell like rubber dishwashing gloves. Cheap rubberbacked carpet maybe? 7) Parking lot not well plowed of snow.

McAlester's Deli is a great place for lunch or dinner and not expensive.

Laramie's a pretty quiet town. I did have good lunches at the Anong's Thai restaurant downtown and a couple of good meals of bar food at 3rd Street Bar less than ten minutes drive in downtown. Nice, diverse crowd at the bar.

There is a wide variety of food and shopping. With the food open even late into the night.

Hilton Garden Inn, Laramie, Wyoming
Yo Yo Jul 12, 2009
The Hilton Garden Inn in Laramie was perfect for what I needed to do (taking a group of boys to a high school basketball ... tournament/camp at the University of Wyoming). The Hilton was less than 5 minutes from my destination at UW (I clocked it). Staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was very clean and well maintained. Got good workouts in the gym (not huge, but with all I needed in weights and treadmills). Close to several newer, chain restaurants. About ten minutes from restaurants downtown. Very nice stay.

Great Laramie Hotel
Jayme Jun 20, 2008
The Hilton Garden Inn was a great hotel. The staff was very helpful and accommidating in allowing a late check-in and a late ... check-out. The room was beautiful and the hotel was excellently kept and managed. It was very close to Wyotech and made the trips back and forth to campus extremely convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Laramie area.
