Horrible Wedding Experience
This hotel had very poor service from check in to the point we left the hotel. We were in town for a wedding and were to have a bank of rooms and did not, some reservations were for the wrong days, split days or only one day. We also had my brother's wedding reception at this location and the hotel handled this poorly as well. There are note many hotels around but it would be wise to do business elsewhere.

Brand new hotel, great service
Stay here while rock climbing at nearby Wild Iris park. The hotel made a great base for the weekend. The hotel is a bit overpriced but otherwise clean and has large rooms.

Good basic hotel
We were there before going on a guided hiking trip with llamas, so it was just a place to stay. It was adequate, not spectacular. We didn't eat at the attached restaurant, which looked institutional. Instead, we walked farther down the street to the Oxtail "Family Restaurant," which was good old down home cooking and atmosphere.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
The "old" main street shops are within 3-4 blocks, and include outfitting stores, a used book store, an art gallery, a unique ice cream stand, a brewery/restaurant, a grill with huge hamburgers and great onion rings. There are other motels a bit closer to town of about the same caliber, any of which are probably just as good.

Not Happy Customer
Watch your price quote/ number of people
We had booked a room weeks in advance and it turned out to be $15 more at check-in because we had three people in the room (with two queen beds). They charge $10 extra for the second person and $5 for each additional person. We had stayed in six motels on our vacation and we did not run into this problem any place else. No breakfast, not even a roll for the extra money per person.

Do NOT Recommend this hotel!!
We had two rooms at this hotel for three nights. When we arrived, the front desk staff was incredibly rude. It was almost as if we were bothering them by checking in. We had requested adjoining rooms, and the front desk staff stated that they did not have any adjoining rooms. One evening at 9:30 pm we went back to the outdoor pool to retrieve a forgotten hat, when we were rudely told to get out. There was a front desk person in the pool area. When we entered, she stated "the pool was closed and we needed to leave now". When we stated we were looking for a forgotten hat, she said there weren't any hats left by the pool. As we were exiting the pool, we found our lost hat sitting on a chair. Not only was this staff member very rude, but she was also closing the pool 30 minutes before the posted closing time. When we went to check out, we discovered that the hotel was not going to honor the price we had booked through Orbitz. They stated that since we had more than one person per room, that there was going to be an upcharge for each additional person. We were not told this when we booked the room nor when we checked in. We contacted the hotel manager and she stated that was the hotel policy. When we asked to see the policy in writing, she said that it was not in writing, it was in their computers. I would definately not recommend this hotel. The front desk staff was rude and unwilling to help, as was the manager. The hotel also had unwritten rules that were not explained until AFTER the occurrance. The only saving grace of this hotel was the housekeeping staff. They were extremely friendly, saying hello any time we passed in the hallway and also helping locate items (ice machine, washing station) in the hotel. The rest of the hotel employees could definately learn a thing or two about customer service from the housekeeping staff.
