It's a trap

When I checked in, I was asked to wait 2 hours for a room which was tucked in a corner with no light, and no access to daylight, the worst room I have seen in 20 years of travel. I wasted precious hours in a beautiful place waiting for this awful room. To their credit, when I came up to the front desk, they knew I wanted to change the room immediately as soon as I put the key on the counter, so why did they give me the room in the first place and make me wait for it? The rooms were extremely overpriced and very uncomfortable. There was no overstuffed chair to sit on. The breakfast was acceptable. The front desk was very nice and accomodating.

Was not impressed

When researching what hotel to stay in I was impressed by the look of the rooms that was displayed from the pictures. What they do not tell you is that there are also "Trapper Inn rooms" which are not as nice. For the price I was expecting to get a nice room, instead we got a dark lit room with dirty carpet. Also, when I checked in and asked about the complimentary airport shuttle they said the earliest it leaves is at 7am. My flight was at 8am which wasn't THAT early. I was frustrated that they could not accomidate that reasonable time.

Great location

Great location for getting around town; breakfast was very good with a nice variety of foods; furnace was a little noisey and cycled a little too often but tolerable, but room was very quiet otherwise.

It's a MOTEL

Be rest assured, this is a MOTEL, albeit an expensive motel. While it was clean and adequate, the room was certainly not worth $120. In any other town, it would be half this cost. If you're expecting exquisite, or even quiet, try elsewhere.

Good Location

The Trappper Inn was centrally located. A very short walk to all the shops and restaurants in the Town Square. It was also a very short drive to Jackson Hole Ski Resorts. The rooms were kept clean, but the beds were hard as a rock. Felt like we were sleeping on the floor. There were also pipes that would start clanging around 5:30-6:00 AM every day, so unless you are an early bird this is very annoying. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We stayed in the the older section, but rennovated section, so the new suites may have much nicer accomodations ( a bit more expensive though).

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Stop by the Cowboy Bar for a drink, it's a real hoot. It has saddles for bar stools, a knobbly pine bar, silver dollars and local brands set into the bar. Also, live music and several pool tables.

A perfect setting

The Lexington is perfectly situated, just five miles from the entrance to the Grand Tetons (and on the way to Yellowstone). The surrounding mountains are memorable. The hotel is well kept with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is not terribly fancy, but it is clean and well maintained, with good beds, and all the amenities which are needed. The breakfast includes hot foods and sends you on your way with a full stomach. The staff is very helpful and the coffee/lemonade and cookies at 5 pm is a nice touch (if you can get back in time after touring the Tetons/Yellowstone.
