Great Location & Local Flavor

The Best Western Lodge at Jackson Hole is loaded with kitschy carvings of bears and racoons and looks like a lodgepole pine cabin and yet is clean, bright, and well-appointed with friendly helpful staff and a great hot breakfast every morning. The bed was one of the best hotel beds I've slept on in years. And if you are hungry and don't want to go far, there are several restaurants within walking distance, including the not-to-be missed Gun Barrel Steak & Game House.

Bear Friendly (Bear Hotel decorations)

The hotel had a very rustic appearance from the outside. The lobby was comfortable and airy. The free breakfast served every morning is enjoyable and offers something for the whole family. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. There is and indoor outdoor pool and a 2 hot tubs one inside and one outside the pool area. The only disappointment was the jacuzzi tub in our suite was not operational! During the summer months there is no restaurant facility other than breakfast!!! The town of Jackson Hole is less than a mile from the hotel and the Tetons and Yellowstone are within an easy drive.

very family friendly

The hotel was fabulous. The room was very nice and clean and had upgraded amenities. The breakfast was the best we have had anywhere. Location good. We realize that everything was expensive in Jackson so therefore the price for the hotel I'm sure was within range.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Shopping nearby in downtown and Teton village had the gondola to ride and it was also close by the Grand Tetons Na'tl Park so you could get close to the mountains and wildlife.

Family friendly for young cuoples with small children

My wife and I are in mid 50's and found hotel to be very noisy. Stayed there 3 nights and were never able to use hot tub or pool because too many young kids were swimming and toys flooting all over the place. The breakfast food is very bad and service is non exsistant. Don't think we will stay here on our next visit to Jackson Hole.

Not bad but just not for me.

It was okay. Maybe just not our cup of tea as we typically do stay in nicer hotels. No restaurant which we knew about going in but now I know to never do again. Our tub was chipped badly, no way I was taking a bath. They use regular sheets for the bottom sheet so it kept riding up, didn't like that too much either. Room was clean though and everything worked. Great bus/shuttle system in Jackson Hole and both are literally right outside the door of this hotel so easy to get around from there.

Family Oriented

The Best Western Jacksonhole Lodge was in a great location, near dining, recreation and shopping areas. We enjoyed the pool and 2 hot tubs near the pool. Kind of expensive. We have stayed in other motels with nicer ammenities for less. The in room jacuzzi was actually a tub, rather than separate in the main room. And the shower did not work. However, no extra charge for children was great and the full buffet breakfast included was extremely convenient and cost saving. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We also liked that all the rooms are smoke free. There were only 2 chairs provided and they were uncomfortable having no armrests and undersized. The separate kitchen area was appreciated with coffemaker, sink, fridge, and microwave. Plenty of storage area. Great dining and sitting areas. Could maybe add another workstation for internet use. Nice little gift shop for emergencies. Plus several vending machines. Also very good to have a laundromat on site for visitors. When we needed to make reservations for dining and attractions, the staff courteously took care of those arrangements. Also, had it been cooler the room had a fireplace in it. and there was a large fireplace in the lobby. Great hotel and we will definitely go back(just make sure the shower works before checking in and request better side chairs).

Convenient Location in Jackson Hole

The Best Western Jackson Hole is comfortable with a large Jacuzzi bathtub and a gas fireplace in the room. The hotel staff were efficient and couteous. The room price seemed a bit high although the location was ideal for touring downtown Jackson. The hotel was a short drive from the shopping and dining of downtown Jackson. I would stay there again.

There is a small bus that runs from the hotel to downtown Jackson Hole about every 30 minutes. This is useful as parking in downtown Jackson Hole is limited.
