Taking charge of your vacation!

Snow King Resort is at the base of the ski slope and in a beautiful setting. There are lots of things for all ages--chairlift rides, a giant alpine slide, horseback riding, hiking, golf courses nearby... When we arrived we were placed in a "suite," which was the small half of an area with a connecting door. It was small, noisy because of the proximity of the back entrance door. The wireless network would not connect in the room, and upon sharing that at the desk much later that evening, we were offered another room halfway down the hall. The room was much larger, had a balcony and immediate connectivity. In turned out there were many vacant rooms, so why we were placed in this suite, I'm not sure. We learned if you are not satisfied with your room, get relocated! [...] facilities are very good. A wonderful breakfast buffet is provided in the restaurant, and service was good.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

There are lots of great things to enjoy in the Jackson Hole area, but one of our best adventures was the walk along the Snake River one morning. A gravel road follows the river for several miles--we walked about four and saw a bald eagle along the way.

a night in Jackson

The rooms were clean, the towels were soft; but, it felt dingy, because everything was really old (but not in that antique way). Too expensive for having no updates.

Grand Tetons and Yellowstone

It was in a very cute part of Jackson. It had great views of the Grand Tetons. If the bed had been softer it would have been more enjoyable.

There is an Albertson's just down the road off Broadway. There is a coffee shop inside with more reasonably priced coffee.

Enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed here for a week. The hotel is in a good location, peaceful and quiet there. Rooms were good, the housekeeping staff did a great job. The restaurant/bar had a very limited food selection, but what we had was good. The menu is a bit pricey for the items offered. Bartenders were very friendly. Our son loved the pool. There is putt-putt golf, alpine slide, and chair liftthere, but they are all over-priced, and at $169 a night for staying there, i feel that these things should be included, or highly discounted. I mean $15 for one trip down the slide is waaayyy excessive in price.Overall , I give it a 3.5 to 4.0 out of 5.0.

Ok at best

The hotel staff is friendly but not exceedingly helpful. The ice machine and soda machine were in an absolutely filthy room! This hotel needs some major updating! The whole hotel is a bit drab and dirty. In addition, the elevator was not in good working order as at one point the doors would not open and I had to call for help. The employee was not at all surprised I was stuck. I probably would not stay there again I would take my chances with a different hotel.

Value Travel

-The front desk staff could not find our reservation information when we check in, but they quickly gave us a room first. -There is a business center but the in-room wireless speed is very slow and the internet connection is poor. -Close to downtown Jackson Hole for dining and shopping yet with quiet surroundings, good for resting after a long trip back from the national parks.

Great Place to stay!

We received a free upgrade to a condo. but do not know why. It was very, very nice. More space than we would have ever imagined. Spotless room with a beautiful view from the private balcony. You will not be disappointed staying here.

Wyoming trip

Stayed there out of convenience. Great place for families since it's located within walking distance of everything in town. I stayed two seperate nights at the Snow King and although very comfortable, the second room/final night I had, had a burned out light bulb in the lamp by the bed and the light/exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. Also the a/c unit didn't get the room as cool as I like it. Was only for one night so I didn't much care. But, for what they're charging per night, extremely below par. If there's a hohum catergory for hotels...I'm checking that one.

Snow King Visit Part Deux

They blew the wakeup call for our early morning flight. [...] While clean with newer sheets and towels, etc., this stay we were put in one of the condos instead of a hotel room in the lodge. That was o.k. but there was little attention to details, like it was a plus that there was a small coffee maker and coffee in the room but there were no coffee cups! (Thankfully I had a McDonald's cup in the rental car). Just didn't feel that anyone really cared that we were there (and for the second stay in a week!!)
