Great Historic Location

Great location. Cool historic place that is affordable. Even the rooms had antique furnishings. The only drawback was that ... the lounge was very smokey and that smoke made its way upstairs to the rooms.

Irma hotel
Jim Sep 21, 2009
The only thing was there is not a clock in the room to check time for catching plane and they didn't call us in the morning ... for wake up call as asked. We weren't there long enough to enjoy everything but for the amount of time there we really enjoyed our stay. Loved the quaintness of the rooms and dinner was great. We would definitely stay there again. Love the community of Cody. Everyone is friendly. We were in Cody to catch our plane. Went to Yellowstone for our vacation.

Pleasant surprise
WI traveler Jul 27, 2009
Had heard that the Irma was haunted. No ghost sitings for us. The room was large and bed was very comfortable. The evening ... "gunfight" takes place right in front of the hotel as well as the trolley tours. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go in town. We would stay there again.

Overall it was a pleasant night in an historic hotel. The staff was amiable and helpful. Pleasant smiles, not overly ... effusive, and of good humor.

Great Location
David Jul 12, 2008
I knew it was a historic hotel built in 1895 or something. What I didn't want was to sleep in a bed from 1910. I was ... pleasantly surprised to find not only was this hotel not rundown, but was actually nicer than most modern hotels. The beds and pillows were first class and extremely comfortable, the room was clean and pleasantly decorated. It was a bit odd checking in because the front desk clerk was also the hostess in the restaurant, she was friendly. The hotel is located directly in the center of town and we took the trolley tour from the front steps wich was quite nice. They also stage a gunfight right out side the hotel every night but sunday which was cool. But the highlight of this hotel is definitely the restaurant with a prime rib buffet, big delicious burgers and perfectly prepared trout. I was in town three days and I would have to say this was the best reataurant in town located right in the Hotel. This was a great place to stay in the Yellowstone National park area.

The Buffalo Bill Museum was definitely a must see. Petes cafe was across the street, great breakfast and big fat sandwiches, inexpensive and good
