overpriced under expectations

I was unhappy from the time I mistakenly clicked to choose this hotel. The name presented tricked me into thinking I had chosen "The Cody". I did not think the room was up to the standards the price indicated. Holiday Inn will not be used by me again.

Comfortable room, lacks amenities

I would rate this hotel experience as average. The room was clean and comfortable. Upon check-in make sure you get someone with a lot of stars on their ribbon, otherwise you won't get good service. The pool is outside and closes during high winds. Also, breakfast was not included which is unusual given most other hotels in the area offer this.

Make sure and visit the Buffalo Bill Historic Center. Along with the Wild West kitsch and large firearms collection (which is great for the kids) there is an excellent collection of paintings and scuplture from American Artists like Remington, Russell, Bierstadt, Moran, etc.

Great Location

This hotel is in a good location and is an easy walk to the town. It is a little inconvenient that the buildings are separated from the main building, where the restaurant, etc are. Our room was always very clean when we came back to it and the room is very spacious. Our only complaints would be that it was a bit expensive for the area and we could hear doors slamming all night long. Apparently, each of the doors has a massive spring on it or something. We weren't in the hotel for too much time, due to traveling to Yellowstone, but it was sufficient. I think that next time we will just try to stay in the park. It took us an hour and a half to get to the turn in the road at Fishing Bridge every day.

Clean and Comfortable

We stayed here on our way out to Yellowstone and the Tetons. The hotel was very clean and comfortable though maybe not quite as nice as most Holiday Inns (the building seemed a little dated). The staff was very nice, especially in the restaurant. It served our purposes perfectly.
