Just what I needed for a night
Hotel is pretty easy to get to and is about five minutes from the airport. Located right across the street from the mall/movie theater and is also close to a decent restaurant selection as well as a Target. My room was clean and came with both a fridge and a microwave. The only weird thing is that there's no front desk or lobby area. You have to see a cashier/receptionist at the diner next door. Upon checking in, I was given breakfast coupons to the diner so besides gratuity, I guess you could say it was a complimentary breakfast? All in all, it was a great stay for my one night in Cheyenne. If you find yourself needing a place to stay after all travel is suspended due to weather, I highly recommend. Paid the same price at another hotel the week before, and the Oak Tree Inn was hands-down better.

Long walk from hotel
The movie theater was located on the back side of the mall and is kinda hard to spot. The entrance just looks like another entrance to the mall. I don't know if I happened to go when it was a special night (monday) or if all movie tickets are that cheap in Wyoming, but I only paid 5 bucks for a student ticket.

Light proof draperies necessitated by the flood-light outside my window that lit up the building. No maid service because "we were really busy and only had time to do the checkouts". Pennys diner next door was wonderful.

Oak Tree Inn & Penny's Diner
Bathroom: WAY TOO SMALL. Good access to Wi-fi. Motel staff friendly and courteous. Mini-fridge's freezer was SO over encrusted with ice that you had no room to put anything in there and it froze everything on the top shelf of the fridge. Beds were firm and had decent TV to surf and watch. Best experience of all though was Penny's Diner. Good food at fair prices. Even though it's not on the menu, you can order half portions. The short order cook [...] is a MUST SEE!!! He makes your time there enjoyable!!!

Good hotel/service, WiFi lacking
Hotel has good service and was comfortable. My room had WiFi signal but it was weak and I kept getting bumped off. My workaround was to set up my laptop in a common area near the source. Would have preferred to have suficient signal in the room. Overall, I would recommend the place.

Motel office is across the parking lot inside Penny's Diner. Diner is open 24hrs and serves breakfast/lunch/dinner all day! Lots of other options short walks or drives.

Very comfortable and quiet.
Very clean and helpful staff from front desk to housekeeping. Very nice to have a comfortable chair, mirowave and refrigerator in the room. For me it was wonderful to have a bike trail right next to the hotel.

Great Deal
Free breakfast was included a the next door diner which made the price very good. The hotel was not dirty, but don't expect your room to be cleaned every day during your stay if they are busy. Had Wi-Fi but no public computers for non railroad workers.
