Not what I expected
Cecelia Nov 21, 2009
The room we had did have an outside entrance, which was nice. The room itself was average size with a nice television and ... plenty of workspace and chairs for sitting. I liked that there was a sink both inside the bathroom and outside. However, the hallway and room smelled funny (moldy maybe?). Our noses were stuffy all night long. My 16 month old grandchild found a piece of metal with screws in it beside one of the beds. He also found a capsule (some kind of medication) on the floor. There were dead spiders in the corners. the rooms/hallways were not insulated against noise well. We could hear very clearly everything happening outside our room and a little bit of what was happening next door. The matresses on the beds needed turning. I kept rolling to the ouside. I was not impressed and will not stay there again. I will definitely pay the extra dollars and stay at a more well known chain next time.

Somewhat Disappointed
Anniversary Couple Sep 17, 2009
The hotel staff were satisfactory. However, the attached family restaurant was understaffed, the servers were very ... inattentive (we had to flag down with both arms and a shout to get the attention of two servers passing our table to inform someone that our english muffins were delivered raw/untoasted!), the wait time for any service was too long at both dinner and breakfast. At dinner, as we were being seated, the man at the booth nearest us exclaimed, "Holy %@!" in reference to the meal he had just tasted. He left the meal untouched and fled the restaurant shortly thereafter. Our wait time for our plates was long, but the sandwiches were adequate and our server was gracious but seemed depressed. She was not there for the breakfast shift the following morning. And the hostess had called in alternate staff to cover the shift shortage.

We were in Casper for a concert and this motel is pretty close to the Casper Events Center, so that was nice. I didn't like ... the fact that the hot tub closed at 10pm, especially since we didn't have cable (something about an optic cable getting cut). They do have a mini golf course that's pretty fun!

Smelly, smelly room
Esposa y Mama Jul 5, 2009
The room was very outdated and in need of an update. The curtains were thin and had holes in them. We were in a non-smoking ... room which was right across the hall from the smoking rooms. Our room REEKED of smoke. After waiting for over 10 minutes for the water to turn hot I finally settled on a luke warm shower - at 3am since I couldn't sleep. The towels were thin and dingy - I chose to drip dry under the heat lamp. The pool was a good size - it accommodated about 20 children who were there for a baseball tournament. The pool hadn't been cleaned out that day so someone came to clean in out. He tapped the debris (sunflower seed shells, dead bugs, and leaves) onto the pool deck and left them there. Suffice to say after 20 kids cannonballed into the pool all the debris was also in the pool. Overall, not a well kept hotel.

A Great Stay
Tired Traveler Jul 5, 2009
We stayed at the Parkway Plaza while just passing through town. When my husband and I arrived, we were both very tired and ... hungry so we wanted to just order some food. I called the front desk to see if they had any good Chinese food in town that will deliver and they recommended a great place and even brought a menu to us. The staff was very friendly and I was impressed. It was very quiet and restful at night. The only thing that turned me off to the hotel was when the housekeeping knocked on our door in the morning while we were still sleeping. The location was great and I will make sure to stop at the Parkway Plaza every time I go through Casper.

The good the so-so
Fiona Traveler Jun 30, 2009
Do not think wrong size bedding is an effective cost cutting practice. Clue: flat sheets need to be BIGGER! Staff were mostly ... polite, but no joy at all, what's with that? We had key roblems that never got resolved. And guests need not be party to an staff procedural 'discussion' when registering. Room was clean though ragged. cleaning lady smiled..YES..if she doesn't like her job she fakes it so very well, points to her! Resturant, host...bored, waitress very nice on the first day. Second day, people lined up and waited to pay their bill (no it wasn't that busy. We waited and waited to be seated, (could see manager wandering around the resturant, ???), waitress still very nice. They advertize that they are becoming a 'resort', they have alot of work to doWell, suffice to say we won't be re-booking.

We had a family (birthday)/ reunion at a nearby park. We were close to all in town attractions and the highway. The Parkway ... Plaza Hotel had a lot to offer and we enjoyed our stay. I think the only improvement would be that adults should be able to swim in the pool/ or enjoy the jacuzzi after hours. Or the closing time should be later on the weekends. It closed at 10pm as we were enjoying a relaxing soak. If it closed at 12pm that would be better.

One night stay. Drove back up the interstate a mile or two to get some good selections for supper, but had a very good ... breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was better than the free breakfasts at other hotels, but , of course , more expensive. Loved the indoor pool, but the hot tub and fitness center were separate, across a courtyard, and we did not really get a chance to use them. Good room and a good night sleep.

Business travelers want to work out in the early AM (5-7). A cener that does nt even open until 8 AM, when we need to be at ... work, is not "user Friendly". The gift/snack shop, same thing, If you do not get to the hotel until 5ish, you will have to go "shopping" elsewhere for any forgotten or wanted items or snacks, as the shop closes at 5 PM!

Very Nice Motel
Patsy Jan 6, 2008
This was a very nice motel/hotel with many ammenities. The room was very clean, very spacious but the TV was probably a 21 ... and was almost impossible to see from the far bed. The TV could not be turned so we had to watch TV from one bed. There were two sinks and vanities which was very nice, there was a coffee pot and iron and ironing board but no hair dryer. Seemed strange as all motels have a hair dryer. We had breakfast at the cafe in the Parkway Plaza and it was very, very good. Reasonably priced and plenty of food. The beds were comfortable and we would stay at the Parkway again. A great place to stay!

Good Stay for Great Price
emma Jun 18, 2007
After spending a week in another hotel in Wyoming for the same price, this hotel was a much better value. Nicely appointed, ... great room access. The only bummer was the shower was a little neglected and the pressure and draining was bad, but the other fixtures and features were great. Surprisingly large complex. Pleasant breakfast cafe and very close to downtown. Walking distance for some...maybe not for other. Close either way. Safe Clean and Affordable.
