Handy location for Coliseum

I booked this hotel to take a class at the coliseum. It was quite handy. The room had all the necessities for me. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast provides a nice selection. Unfortunately the pool was temporarily closed during our stay, which disappointed my daughter. Overall, my stay was pretty nice.

No heat

The room was clean and comfortable but the heat didn't work. They offered another room which also had no heat. A bit run down overall.

It's a $50 room!!

I rented this room for the price. I had some friends coming into Morgantown for a birthday party. Being old and responsible I got this room instead of driving home. It's a $50 room. What else can I say? What more can you expect? it was a bit dingy with crazy green walls but a decent size. Huge TV, clean sheets, clean towels, a refrigerator, coffee maker, hairdryer and a microwave. Bathroom was a bit musty but I'm not sleeping in there so who cares? I called ahead to assure a smoke free room would be available and was informed the ENTIRE hotel is now smoke free. No elevators in building B. That was a bit annoying. Walking distance to the Coliseum. There are pet rooms also. Its $10 extra a pet. Great for what I needed.

Great Location

Hotel was under going some upgrades, but we were able to walk to the basketball game. Saved $20 on parking and no waiting in long traffic lines after the game to get out.

Hotel with good breakfast environment

Check-in was fast with on-line booking. Room condition can be improved with faulty telephone line, broken drawers, faulty lock at bathroom and dirty floor. Internet was average, sometimes cannot connect. Breakfast was refreshing with staff warm greetings, ample choice of food, clean environment and atmosphere. Check-out was also fast. Don't mind staying there again for next visit as it is near to WVU Coliseum and PRT station (Engineering).

Cheap but Descent

We needed a hotel close to the hospital as our grandson was in the NICU. The hotel was a good price and only 2.8 miles from the hospital. It was also close to restaurants and shopping which was great. Hot breakfast was a surprising bonus. Would recommend for a cheap place to sleep with descent beds and hot water for showers, but had to request housekeeping bring coffee, towels, and empty the trash. Received the coffee and they emptied the trash but never got the towels. Too tired to worry about it.

Location is key

We stayed at this property for the UT/WVU game. It was well located as we visited Morgantown, and super easy as we walked to the Coliseum to catch a bus to the game. It is an aging property, but there have been some updates. The floor in our room was wood laminate, and the walls appeared freshly painted. We had a nice flat screen TV, but the cable connection was horrible, and the picture very fuzzy, which we disliked as we tried to watch other football games during the day. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave, and we used both since we were traveling as a family. The morning breakfast was great - eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy and make your own waffles. The staff was very nice. The exercise room is below average. Many of the machines don't work, including the treadmill. There is a TV and water cooler, but no cups. We had a wheelchair accessible shower, and the tiles were not sloped well, so water flowed out of the shower, across the bathroom and into the room. After we discovered this, I had to use bath towels as dams, and then wring out the soaked towels afterwards. The only way to prevent this was to aim the shower almost at the wall, so you could not stand under a steady stream of water. The sink had pulled away from the wall a bit, causing it to slope just enough that you could not leave anything on the edges of the sink - everything just fell to the floor. As mentioned in another review, the door to the room did not seal well. It was not too cold while we were there, and the heat in the room worked well, so this wasn't a huge problem for us. However, this could be an issue in really cold weather. Only one blackout shade was present on the window, the right panel. I had to unhook it from the end of the curtain rod, and move it to the center of the window to create some privacy in our room. With the side panels, we did get complete coverage, but just barely! One of the bedside lamps had no on/off knob, so we had to move a knob from one lamp to another to turn it on. Basically, this room met all of our needs, but there was quite a bit of work involved! However, we were there for a football game, and the location of the hotel made that part really easy.
