Days Inn Martinsburg

We have stayed here on two different occasions for visiting with family in the area and we will do it again. It's in a very good location for doing different things.

Basic hotel, Nothing really special about it. but gets the job done. Needs upgrades to rooms, bed, tv, etc

After seeing 4 stars on the reviews, we were pretty disappointed with this hotel. It began with a dirty bathtub in our room, including a used, wet washcloth hanging over the shower rod when we arrived. We were only given 2 sets of towels, despite having a room for 4. The hairdryer did not work. The desk clerk was outside cussing about having to clean bird droppings off his vehicle. Overall, not an experience we'd like to repeat. Next time we're in the area, we'll look elsewhere!

The woman that first checked us in was great. Very friendly and told us some nearby places to get things we needed. The jerk man that was there for the next two days was RUDE, condescending, and completely took away from all the positives about the hotel. He wagged his finger in my face instead of having the courtesy of speaking to me for doing something that seemed to be against HIS personal agenda instead of the hotel's; as if he's the mother of a two year-old. The first morning there he stood outside our door yelling at one of the maids about a spot that wouldn't come out of something. Just an extremely rude, immature jerk. Never once smiled, he just looked extremely rude and grumpy and like a jerk the whole time we were there. He ruined our stay (this wasn't all we saw of him, but I'm not going to write an essay). He should be happy to have a job!! The breakfast was ok, hotel was pretty clean, but that one guy that was there for the majority of our stay was SO RUDE.

My wife and I spent four nights here while visiting with family. The staff was very helpful , and overall for the rate, the experience met or exceeded our expectations. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

[...] The room was suppose to be extra large, but if anything, smaller than most of the others on the third floor. It was also the farthest room from the elevator.

Well my wife and I stayed overnight on a weeked trip to the area.The lady up front was very nice and checked us in no time.The room was clean and fresh. My only complaint would be the air conditioner was noisy when it kicked on. Also (light sleepers BEWEARE)the back side of the motel faces a highway so you get highway noise all night.Try and get a room towards the front of the motel.Im a heavy sleeper so it didnt bother me so much.

good price, fine place to stay

The hallways smelled very bad and the carpet was stained and looked very old and dirty. The room also smelled bad. Could not get extra pillows even though the hotel was clearly not fully booked. The towels were old, rough and looked dingy. Someone set the alarm clock in the room to go off at 1AM with the volume turned all the way up. Not a very funny joke when your stay is to attend a family funeral. Had to actually call the front guest in order to get housekeeping to clean the room during the day. Next to the highway and the traffic is very loud even at night. Though Days Inn is a national chain with an expectation of a basic, clean, economically priced room....this was far below such basic expectations.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel 3 times w/i the past year. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. It doesn't have a pool. It is located directly off the Interstate 81 and very close to shopping and restaurants.
