The Days Inn Huntington is conveniently located at I-64 Exit 15, about 3 miles from Marshall University. We offer Free Daybreak Continental Breakfast, Free Wireless High Speed Internet Access, Nancys Lounge on site, Guest Laundry and a Seasonal Outdoor Pool. Each room is equipped with a Refrigerator, Iron and Board, Coffee Maker , Hair dryer and Cable TV with HBO. You will enjoy our spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, at a great value with good old fashioned Southern Hospitality. No Pets Allowed. Please note our pool will be closed June 12-13, 2011 and will reopen at noon June 14, 2011.

Bug spray needed

I waited in the lobby several minutes before someone arrived. I was booked into a smoking room when I had requested a non-smoking. I was going to tough it out. The heater was either real hot or I had to turn off. My clothes started smelling like cigarette smoke, there were food crumbs on the carpet, and when I killed a roach in the middle of the night, I requested a room switch. They switched me to a non-smoking room that had been cleaned; however, you could see it snowing outside through the gaps in the door. Fortunately, they responded and weather stripped the door.

Basic accomodations

Room was clean but a bit tired - wallpaper peeling in bathroom due to steam from shower. Overall, clean and comfortable but spartan. Pix of room show a sofa or some type of seating -- there was a very large empty area near the front of the room -- space for a sofa, but only a table/desk and one chair in room. Close to freeway, gas stations, restaurants. Access was awkward - you had to zigzag thru other parking lots to get in if coming from the west. Not my best Days Inn experience, but not so bad I wouldn't stay there again.

Good price get what pay for

This is our second stay at this hotel. Although not up to our standards in cleanliness, for the price it can't be beat. The most important thing is clean bedding, and this hotel's bedding was immaculate.

Not the best

Not the cleanest hotel. Shower could use a good scrubbing. However for the price you couldn't go wrong. The description says there is an attached bar/restaurant. It does have one, but it has not been opened in years. When I asked staff about the restaurant, they replied that they had found no one to operate it.

Average Experience

Not much to offer as far as food options go ,but our room was fairly clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall not a bad experience, for the price it was fine.

Unsatisfied in Barboursville/Huntington

The internet did not work, the beds and rooms were not clean, and there was six police cars at the scene within 15 minutes of my arrival. The staff was unfriendly and discriminatory. I've never been called a "Queer" by a customer service representative before, but I have now that I checked into Days Inn. I checked out within 90 minutes, but was refused a refund. Stay away!!!
