Glade Springs is good for one thing if you are looking to just ski economically, and that is getting a free lift ticket. If you are just looking for a place to sleep after getting your included lift ticket, but don't want to pay a fortune to stay overnight; this is all your need. However, the savings don't come without a few drawbacks. First, it's in a convenient spot but be wary of the lack of adequate signage. This is especially true at night when your eyes are glued to your GPS. Second, you'll need an ATV to navigate the parking lot. I would not advise bringing your lowrider up for your ski trip. Third, it shares a parking lot with an adult video store. If you can overlook the wear and tear, it's really not a bad deal. The manager/franchisee is an incredibly nice individual in person, but I would rather book with him directly next time than through this site.

Short drive from hotel
If one day of skiing is in your plans, you may want to book with this hotel. But it really depends on your planning habits and how disciplined you are toward saving money. If you want to ski multiple days, offsetting the price of your lift ticket is hard to do outside of staying with Glade Springs. But if all you need is a bed after a full day of skiing, Knights Inn off Odd Rd. is a good deal.

Not so comfortable stay
This hotel promised hair dryers, refrigerators, and microwaves in every room. Ours did not have any of these basic amenities. The mattress was worn and visibly dented in the middle. The bath towels were tiny and barely absorbant. The parking lot was full of potholes and the only way to approach the hotel was the a rutted field behind an adult fantasy store. Not pleasant!

Never stay Here. It is awful
We did not even check in because the area is unsafe and the place was a dump. We have asked for our money back and they have refused.

Ghent stay
The hotel is easily accessed from I-77, but the approach to the property is a minefield of potholes. The driveway around the building is fine, so the other property might belong to the "adult" store. Other than that, it was one of the quietest places we've stayed. Staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is very basic, but there are restaurants nearby for those who want more than oatmeal, bagels, muffins, and juice. One thing lacking is milk.

Good deal for the price
I was just passing thru on my trip from Florida to Pennsylvania and needed a place to sleep and a hot shower. It was just what I was looking for at a great price.

Not bad for the price
It was a good room for the price. They could of taken a little more time cleaning the room. The adult video store next door was discouraging.

My review of Knights Inn Ghent
I didn't care for the fact that the hotel was right next to an adult book store. Our son met us there later at night and had a hard time finding the entrance to the hotel due to improper lighting.
