Interesting Experience...
I read the reviews prior to booking - I thought I would be OK with the hotel being an old hospital facility - creepy experience at best. Asked for an extra pillow both days - still waiting!

Converted Hospital
The hotel is a strange mix of businesses and a lawyers office with two floors of rooms serving as the hotel piece. The building used to be a hospital, and it still looks...and smells like a hospital. From the long gurney sized elevator to the wide wheelchair sized doorways it screams old hospital. The bathroom was particularly tiny and unbecoming with a retirement home odor, ugly blue tile that didn't look quite clean and only a toilet and shower stall. The sheets had dried blood stains, the wash cloth had three holes, and the digital alarm clock that plugged in couldn't keep time! It was quite an odd place, but for 63/night on a sold out weekend, it did the job as a place to sleep.

Your worse nightmare
The outside of the hotel looked shabby and the lobby looked like something out of a Stephen King novel, very scary. The hotel purported to be "smoking free" and that's what I expected when I booked a "smoke free room." Upon entering the room my eyes began to burn from the strong smell of years of cigarette smoke. There was no hot water and the heat/ air conditioniing unit had no knobs or anything to control the ancient unit. In short, the place was awful. I quickly went to the desk and told them that I couldn't stay there because of the smell. They were nice and I left for the Hampton Inn.

A borderline bad experience
The staff seemed pleasant although I had to help the person who checked us in figure out how much the charge should be for our pet. We also had to change rooms because of problems with the toilet. The hotel room was extremely small and dated. The whole place needs modern updating.

interesting building
I've had a couple bad Days Inn experiences, but this wasn't one of them. I really enjoyed the diferent layout of the building and how other services and busineses were integrated inside. The only thing I could really wish for would be an upgraded heating and cooling system. This Days Inn has character. Try it out if you get a chance.

We were very tired when we got to the hotel. The employees were nice, the check in was fast. The bed was comfortable.
