Wingate by Wyndham Charleston WV

We were lucky enough to stay at the Wingate Charleston on the one day of the week (Tuesday) when they hold a very nice Manager's Reception 5-7pm, with complimentary wine & beer and a very nice assortment of veggies & dip as well as cookies. The service was extraordinarily delivered with a smile. The room was spacious enough & clean, good comfy bed.

It was great to relax in the jet tub in the extremely large bathroom and then go to sleep in the very comfortable king size bed

It was great! The rooms were comfy and clean. The complimentery breakfast was good. It was nice to be able to enjoy beverages for free. We even enjoyed the hot tub. It was close to everywhere we needed to go.

The hotel was clean, the room had a good size with 2 queen beds. The breakfast could be improved but was ok. The only thing I didn't like is that I could not use the safe box in my room. For some reason you need to use the same key you use to open the front door (nobody mentioned it), and if this is not done in the proper way, the safe box doesn't work and needs to be reset. Although they couldn't help me with the safe box, the hotel management offered me to go to another room, which I declined, no big deal. They also messed up the bill, since I made the reservation online and was prepaid. That kept me for almost 1 hour at the front desk the day of my departure. But overall, the hotel fit our purpose: clean and comfy place to sleep while visiting family.

As a business traveler I was sooo happy to have such a warm and inviting stay. Beautiful lobby area, clean updated halls and great bedroom. You can tell that this is not a 'resort' hotel as some updates are cosmetic but you cannot beat this place on value! Clean room, great beds, soft sheets AND towels! (hard to come by these days with all the 'green' movements) Jeez, the free conti breakfast was incredible on Saturday morn (I don't know if it's the same thru the week but WOW!) Staff was VERY pleasant at Front Desk (check in and out), breakfast and even the maids! Great location off of i64 and Los Agaves mexican rest has great, inexpensive food and only a 1/2 block away. Close to other stores locally (needed a Rite Aid!) although the nearby area looks as if it's fallen on tough times. You gotta check this place out! Oh, the only reason I didn't hit 5 stars on 'Amenities' was the lack of on-site rest/bar....

I spent the weekend here with my significant other who came in from out of town. We had a great experience! The lobby area was very clean and decorated beautifully. The room was pretty clean except for a few crumbs I spotted on the floor upon entering and inspecting the room. However our room was located on the first floor across from the laundry room and an employee office and by an exit door... at first, I was a little skeptical of this but after the first night there I was fine with it. Surprisingly it was very quiet and private! We utilized the jacuzzi area and workout facility as well. And according to my significant other the breakfast was fantastic! Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would come back again and would also recommend it to others!

Stayed 2 nights in a 2 queen bed room. Hotel seemd to be recently renovated, everything was updated with nice touches. Spa was closed for the week, but not a deal breaker for us. The one downside was that the bathroom was not renovated. It was small with out dated faucets/counter top. The room was large with space for additional chairs which was a nice bonus. We came to town to visit family friends who lived in Charleston/Cross Lanes area and this hotel was the ideal location since it was in between. Although it was next to the railroad tracks, was not able to hear it from inside the hotel.

Spent 2 nights in charleston for a family reunion. .had never stayed at this brand of hotel. room was clean, hot breakfast was nice, staff was nice. Bathroom could have been a little larger. all in all was satisfied with the hotel and the price I paid for the room. I would stay at another hotel from this chain.

Great stay and pretty good breakfast. Biscuits were a little tough.
