Stretch
Quiet and relaxiing room.
Large room with sofa, chair and desk as well as a kitchenette made for a very comfortable stay - much better than a typical hotel room with a bed or two and maybe a chair. The location was convenient to anywhere in Charleston by car. There was no restaurant, nor anything else within walking distance, but the breakfast buffet was first class, and the isolation made the room quiet, with no traffic noise. I'll definitely go back anytime I have a stay in Charleston.

Very friendly
This was our first stay at a Residence Inn. We were very pleasantly surprized at the quality for the price. We will definitely consider Residence Inns on future trips and hope they are as good as this one. Elevator was not operating. We were assisted in moving into our second floor room. And aide immediately went to get our Platinum gift of cookies and bottled water. Room was very conducive to doing both work and pleasure.

We did not leave our room for the evening since there were no restaurants nearby. We purchased microwave food in lobby and enjoyed our evening in the room.

This whole experience was fabulous!! The Residence Inn by Marriott in Charleston WV is just an all around great place. The layout of our suite was perfect!! The living area was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked (down to the pitcher and measuring cup!) The linens made for great sleeping and the housekeeper even made an elephant out of a towel and set it on our bed. The bathroom was separate from the vanity area and made it easier to get ready for the day. The staff was the friendliest I have ever experienced, from the front desk to the houskeepers. The pool area was really nice and the hot tub was great!! They even had a picnic area by the pool with two huge grills!! The hotel was very secure--keys were required to get in and out of the pool area and to get into entrances except the main entrance. The hotel was close to the airport and downtown. It was on the top of a hill and the landscape was beautiful. I would love to stay there again--and will if I ever go back.

The complimentary breakfast was great. They had everything you could want for breakfast and kept everything fresh. The dining area was really nice with a big screen TV, and a fireplace!!
