great place to stay. They were doing some remodeling but other then that it was perfect.

Conference was called off, so we never went. Holiday Inn is the best place to stay for any events in Charleston, WV. However, Holiday Inn got to keep our money. However, that is okay, we know when we use online sources, that is going to be the way it is. THank You. The Clark's

stayed here one night. thank goodness it was one night. the hubby was flying out the next morning. the staff is super awesome totally great! the pay preview movie choices were awesome. the bed was so bad... we didnt sleep at all. the bed feels like sleeping on a board! the comforter was wore out and flat..and the main thing you want out of a hotel is a good bed.. and they failed at that..

Came to Charleston WV to celebrate New Years with friends. My Hotel stay was excellent..

Was there for emergency situation, so had to make arrangements at last minute. Stay was only two nights. I chose this because it was the best-rated hotel at this price. I was traveling by myself and did not put the hotel to any major service test. However, every staff member I met gave me a big smile and a friendly greeting throughout my stay. The breakfast was a better-than-average choice of hot and cold items and everything I had was fresh and tasted good. The hotel is not brand new, but very well maintained and the room was great. I had a king room - good mattress and bedding, sofa (sleeper) w/ coffee table, nice desk w/ chair - all very clean and in great condition. No microwave or refrigerator and this is the first place I've stayed in a while that has not yet upgraded to HDTV, but CRT set they had was a nice size and in excellent working order. Great access to downtown shopping (Towne Centre Mall), restaurants, etc. Even though they had a pretty good crowd both nights and the hotel is located between two busy streets, the room was comfortably quiet - other than the air conditioner, which was the fairly common individual units built into the outside wall of rooms at many hotels. The unit was well-maintained, as quiet as any and controlled easily with a wall-mounted thermostat, but these units are never as quiet as remotely-located zoned air-conditioning. Bottom line for this hotel is good location, friendly staff, comfortable room and very clean.

My wife and I have stayed in this hotel for the Charleston Distance Run each of the past five years. We have had no problems with the staff, the room, or the other guests. We will be back next year.

I was in Charleston on a 3 day business trip and thought the experience was one I would like to forget. I won't stay at that hotel again. It is nothing more than a poor rework of an old Holiday Inn. When I checked into the room I noticed an 8 to 10 inch strip of mold in the tile grout the first day I was there. I told the front desk about it, it was never fixed during my stay. Probably was a 5 minute job at best.

We were in town for a concert. Very satosfied with the accomodations. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. The shuttle driver was esoecially gracious and helpful. We'll stay their again.
