Stay at Embassy Suites

The staff were very helpful. There was a large party in the lobby and it made the whole place very noisy! The bar was very ... nice and could watch world series on a movie size screen!( and it was a quiet place to boot!) Easy access from the highway. Was surprised that we had to pay $9 for parking. This was not clear when we made the reservation.

We came to Charleston for a wedding.Staff were very helpful providing directions to an out of town location.The hotel decor ... was lovely and the lobby was a very open useable space. The central downtown location eliminated any need for taxi service in the city...and they have an airport shuttle. All rooms look over the courtyard/lobby so if you are using the pull out sofa, it is noisy if there is an event in the ballroom, but quiets down after midnight.The bedroom is quiet,and there is very little traffic. The breakfast buffet did not compare with some other Embassy Suites I have stayed in but was adequate. The room had very comfortable mattresses,light non allegenic quilts and plenty of pillows! Considering breakfast, location and shuttle, it gave "bang for the buck". I would book this hotel again.

Downtown and close to the mall. Parking is a headache because hotel guest have to use a public lot next door. The room door key never worked and if the attendant was not in the booth, you cannot get in.

We have stayed at the Charleston, WV, Embassy Suites several times. It is convenient and reliable. I do not appreciate the ... "nickle and dime" charges for WiFi and Parking, but the hotel is nice. The room thermostat is not digital and doesn't work well. We ate a sandwich in the Athletic Bar. Not bad.

We attended a conference at the convention center. Hotel was within walking distance of the convention center. Hot ... breakfast was an added plus. Always have a great stay when I book at Embassy Suites.

I needed accommodations for 60 days. After checking in I was told I would have to move out after 15 days because of a soccer ... league tournament. When I tried to re-book, they raised the rates and would not accept the standard government rate. So I had to find another hotel that accepts the gov rate. I am very disappointed with the sales staff at Embassy Suites. I discourage govenment employees from staying there.

Nice hotel, horrible service, overpriced

We had a bad first impression when checking in and asking for a luggage rack to carry all of our bags and baby supplies. ... They just told us they didn't have one. They didn't offer to help: just stared at me. Thus, I had to make multiple trips to the car and back to get our stuff. In addition, they charged us twice for parking. Also, after walking around our room with no shoes, our feet were blackish-gray in color. In all, way over priced for an average hotel with terrible service.
