Lower your expectations
My full reservation was not received by the hotel. I booked 4 nights, they only had two. Thank God I had the confirmation email on my phone. The issue was corrected and I stayed all 4 nights. While the room was clean, it was old. Bathroom drains were slow. Hot water took about 4 or 5 mins to come on each morning/night. TV remote would not turn on/off the TV and the cable. Had to get out of bed to turn off the TV. I you prefer chain hotels, this place is NOT for you. It is more of a "motel" then a "hotel". If price is your only concern then this is the place for you. I would stay here again, but it is not for the service, location or because it is clean. Only for the price. You get what you pay for, in this case a bed and a door with a lock and chain.

Motel was booked and paid for, let me start by saying that. I arrived very late for check in and the lady at the front desk was a trip she acted like she had some where else to be telling me shes been waiting on me since 3:00. it was 7:00 at this time so im thinking no big deal even if i dont show up youve already been paid, also the room she gave me was completely not what i wanted so then another attitude arises when i asked her to change it, but she did. overall i will not be staying there again.

Ok for the money
We just went to the casino, we only stayed one night and then got up and drove to Harpers Ferry and went home. I would have rather stayed at the Inn at Charles Town, but they were full. The clerk was extremely friendly and nice, the best thing about the place.

Cautious Traveller
A Good Choice
We came to the area from out of state to attend a close friends graduation party. We did not know the area and took a chance on finding a reasonable place to stay without breaking the bank. After considerable research, we chose the Knights Inn at Charles Town. It turned out to be an excellent decision. We were both pleased and impressed with the room we received for the money we spent. When and if we go to that area again, I will definitely call the Knights Inn.

Value ONLY
6 miles from Harpers Ferry, across the street from Charles Town slots & race track. Our stay was $50 booked on Orbitz. We were satisfied with the value but if you are a fussy traveler book elsewhere. The room was clean enough but the mattress is 11 years old and the bathroom exaust fan would suck sewage fumes thru a bad wax ring on the toilet. We left the fan off and had no further odor. There is a fantastic diner next door with a $2.99 breakfast special that satisfied us until well after lunch. The hot water circulating pump was broken but leaving the water run for a few minutes got it hot. Get a room on the second floor to avoid somebody tromping around overhead!

If you are coming the Pittsburgh area route your trip thru Cumberland MD. Take MD rt 51 south to WV 9 east thru Berkely Springs. What a beautiful scenic road!
