smelly room
While I understand that if you request a non-smoking room there is no promise that you will get one. However, in this day and time ALL rooms should be non-smoking. Most of the time when you travel, all you do is shower and sleep in a hotel room. Can you just step outside to have that smoke. Our room smelled of smoke so stronge that we had to run to Walgreen's and pick up air spray. The room smelled worse than the hallway and all of our clothes were ruined.

Making Plans
Hotel is close to highway, food and stores. The hotel is in desperate need of new carpeting! Breakfast buffet was not bad and the staff were very nice. Not sure we would come back because of the bad smell from the carpeting.

Staff was friendly and helpful, but carpeting throughout hotel was old and dirty. Strong cigarette odor everywhere even though many non smoking signs were visible. Hotel location is convenient to restaurants and stores and yet although located right off the highway, was relatively quiet. If they would upgrade the carpeting the value index would improve significantly.

Bridgport Sleep Inn
WE always stay here when we pass through as they permit dogs. It has always been a good place to stay and the dogs like it too. Good green space to toilet the dogs. Rooms are spacious and beds good.

A reasonably good location for a visit to Clarksburg. We were there for a funeral and this was as close as any place. Good resturants nearby. Two within walking distance. Room was clean and the staff quite helpful.

Check out "Eat-N-Park". great pies, nice salad bar, good baked goods. Reasonable prices.

Other amenities were appreciated
We had a little difficulty finding the hotel and more or larger sighns on the intersate or road itself would help. The staff were helpful and friendly. All the pillows in the room were appreciated. The laundry facilities were greatly appreciated. After traveling for over a week it was nice to wash clothes instead of 'dragging' around a bunch of dirty clothes. An elevator would be nice for getting suitcases to the second floor. The breakfast was good. We could eat and do landry etc without having to go out. All in all it was a good experience.
