Great for kids

We arrived on Thursday so there were plenty of available rooms and we were able to request a room with balcony (not on the 1st floor) and not facing a parking lot. Our kids liked MagicQuest pavilion - something like a video game, only instead of a character on a computer screen you are the character collecting all the magic "runes". Pretty original. The cost of playing is something like $25 so I suggest you consider the $50 activity package that they sell at the lobby - it includes MagicQuest and a bunch of other activities that my kids naturally wanted to take part of. There a lot of pools with slides so kids can spend hours there. The deepest pool however is only waist deep so it is much harder for parents to entertain themselves.

A diferent New Year Celebration

Everything was very good. The room might be updated (specially with more up to date gadgets) and the quality of food and maybe of service can be improve. The room cleaning service was not the best but in overall we had a great time being for the first time away from the family in this holidays.

The Howl-iday Inn

Expensive for one night's stay, but cheaper than the Kalahari and chula vista. Since the Great wolf doesn't sell day passes to anyone not staying at the hotel, there were short lines, or no lines at all, for the slides and attractions. It was not overcrowded, and while it lacks the extreme thrills of Noah's ark, there is a good variety of slides and pools. The biggest downside was the fact that the arcade games were either very badly calibrated, or just didn't work, and they were not labeled as broken--they took your money anyway! That is pretty common with arcades these days, though, and the stay was overall great.

Fall Getaway

We wanted to have a change of scenery for a few days with our 19 month-old. He enjoyed the splashing in the toddler areas and it was nice that we could play for an hour or two, go back to the room for a nap, then do it all over again! The hotel room bathroom left a little to be desired in cleanliness, but the rest of the hotel and the pool area seemed fine. There was some wear and tear on some of the waterpark features.

Great time

Great time- stayed in the bunk bed room, which the kids thought were fantastic. We had a great time! Lots of fun for everyone- my 3 year old could go on most of the rides- probably more than other's we've stayed at. Food around the pool leaves something to be desired, however. We did not eat at the resturant or do Pizza Hut. That would have been better. The hotel was great, the slides were great. Lots of towels and chairs around

Nighttime show was cute for little kids. My 10 year old thought it was not appropriate for her.

Wonder time forthe entire family

On our stay we enjoyed the 3 different pool areas, different places to eat and the game room. The rooms were very clean and not dated. The staff was very friendly.

Great weekend getaway

Family enjoyed MagicQuest at the Lodge. Lodge was able to accomadate us with a close room to the lobby and pool area due to a handicap person. Fast check-in and check-out. Very clean! Plenty of life guards at all times in water park areas. Life guards though were not very friendly and did not look like they were enjoying themselves at their job. NO smiling or greeting of the guests.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

A little to far of a walk to Magic Quest. But very good exercise for the children up and down the levels to get their quests filled.

wet fun for all

Everyone had a great time, this was our first family vacation. The older kids enjoyed majicquest and the water slides. On one day the water and temperature of the park was so cold my 2 year old twins didn't want to get in the water so we spent that day sight seeing in town. All of the staff was very friendly and acommodated all of our needs.
