Comfort Inn Wisconsin Dells

My sister and I booked a room at the Comfort Inn, Wisconsin Dells. The room was pre-paid per my mom’s credit card so it was needed a handi-capped room, 1st floor and there was to be a king size bed. When we checked in our room was on the 1st floor but the only one available had one bed and it was a little bigger than a full size. So we had to take that, strike 1. Then the TV remote you had to point it directly at the TV to get it to work so you couldn’t relax in bed and use it, you had to sit up and point directly at the TV not comfortable at all. Strike 2. Then during our stay there our room was never cleaned. We checked in on Thursday Sept. 8, thru Sept. 11. The 1st morning housekeeping knocked at the crack of dawn and I told them to come back. My sister and I left to meet our parents, brother and his girlfriend. We were gone all day to come back to an unclean room. I went out to tell the front desk they said they’d take care of it. Day 2 we get a note stating the reason our room wasn’t cleaned the day prior was because we had the Do Not Disturb sign on our door, which was a lie. So once again we got ready to go out for the day and I stop to mention this to the manager. I was very upset and told her I had no sign on our door and to be called a liar was very upsetting to me. She guaranteed us the room will be cleaned. So we left, we returned at 4:30, my sister was quite ill. When we got to our room it was not cleaned once again, I was furious! She was sick and she wanted to go back to a clean room to rest. Went right out to the desk and of course the apologized all over themselves but that didn’t get the room clean did it. We had to stay at your hotel for there weren’t rooms where my parents and brother were, even though when we arrived we could have switched they did have rooms but no we kept our reservations with your hotel. We also paid more for our room than them, isn’t that a hoot. When we checked out I voiced my disappointment to the manager Lacey she said I had to go directly to Orbits. I don’t think I will ever stay at Comfort Inn; I’m surprised that Orbits gave high marks. I didn’t want anything special just for our room to be cleaned, we were on vacation and we don’t get away that often. I was so upset and it put a big damper on my trip. We were meeting my brother’s girlfriend for the 1st time on this trip so dealing with that was stressful enough; we certainly didn’t need all the stuff with our room. I know it’s been a bit since our trip, I meant to send this in quicker but I’ve been ill and this is the first chance I’ve had to do so. But it hasn’t changed how I feel any about my experience. The room smelled like stale cigarettes. Since we passed the non-smoking law in Wi, they tried to pass this room off as a non-smoking room. Horrible!

My Fiance and I go to the Flakeout festival every January. It's sort of a little get a way for us. We like kids, but this is a chance to be away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, so we did want privacy. We even asked for a room away from kids, so we could have this. The gentlemen at the hotel said he could do that.... well he placed us near the pool. Where do kids and families go? The pool! All night kinds were running up and down the hallways to the pool. They even were knocking on our door, thinking this was funny. How rude!!! Where were the parents, or the hotel people?? Then at 4am you could hear the people above us... it sounded like they were pounding or wrestling. Neither of us got a good nights sleep. I am sure it may have been different on another weekend, but... the pillows sucked, and the location wasn't even that close to the event. Nor was the price worth it.It was enough to make me try another hotel.
